My hubby said to me even if this baby was a boy I could get rid of all the old boys stuff and buy brand new things specialy as this is our last baby!! Next always cheers me up when buying boys stuff as they really do have the most gorgeous boys clothes, its funny cos even though i can buy pink I still find myself looking at boys things and sayin aww this is so cute :) I love bright colours on my boys I've never been in to baby blue! Oh my goodness. How much would I LOVE to get on the girly wagon and cluck and buy girly things. Although, I've already had lots of friends tell me they will give all their little girls clothes to me when I have another baby if it's a girl. I think I would have a lot of excited friends gift me all I could need. I'd probably have to hold them back so I could buy a few things. Oh to dream!!!!

I'm ok thanks HB, wish we had Next over here there is a website you can have things delivered out here but it is pretty expensive unfortunately. Next time I am in the UK I will have to go and do some shopping!!
My dh is very tight with money so no way he would agree to getting rid of the boys stuff and buying new. He has agreed we need some new stuff though as even ds1 had some second hand stuff that friends gave us so it is pretty past it now!! I do have some nice summery things that I bought for ds2 that he never wore as the weather wasn't particularly great that summer so they should come in useful this time.

I need to have a major sort out of all the billions of boxes of stuff I have lol!

I also need to get a new travel system too as wasps built a nest in our old one and destroyed it, can't make my mind up on that one at all but I need to stick to a budget of about £250 so can't go too crazy.

I have bought a hanging baby basket from my friend though which I am excited about! It is wicker and round and is a good size so baby can stay in it until about 6 months or until they are pulling themselves up. We're going to have a hook in our bedroom and a hook in the living room so the baby is well out of the way of our dog. I'll have to try and find a picture to post. :) xx

With ds1 i dressed him head to toe in next clothes as i love them but over the years it seems that the prints are the same they just change the colours on the t-shirts - been really disappointed as of late, although i suppose most moms don't have this many boys to notice the repetition.

Anyone expecting a little boy check out mamas and papas and the baby k collection at mothercare - both have some really lovely new styles for the slightly older little person (although expensive) - i'd love so many of those things for ds3, unfortunately though he has more clothes than he has time to wear. My MIL and SIL always comment about him being in hand me downs, yet half of his tops were new for him GRRRRRRRRR i take great pride in dressing my boys, really winds me up (although yes he does wear their old pj's and jeans, trousers etc but half of the things are barely worn even with him being the 3rd as they were all born at different times of the year) - sorry rant over

I certainly am... Baby showers aint really a done thing over here, but they are becoming more popular! I had one with ds2 which my bbf sorted out for me. This time I'm kind of using the organising of the shower to distract me from all the little worrys I'm having (plus I'm a control freak haha) you should totally arrange a baby shower after all you won't ever get the chance again will u? Cinss, I thought as soon as I heard pink I'd be clearing the shelves. Nope, same as you, I've walked in looked at clothes and walked out empty handed. Lol! I wonder when I'm going to break and just start buying. You can always start buying for your summer weather. I've been looking in the sale racks here and there because our summer clothes are on sale and she'll be a summer baby. I found a cute little bathing suit for her online. I can't wait to buy it.

Maybe buying for the opposite sex is out of our comfort zone or something, i see all the cute girly stuff, and i think oohh i know some of the ladies on GD would love this haha. I think i might start with the bigger items like cot, car seat, bath, etc until i get more used to buying blue ;)

I seriously thought it was just me. I waked into Target last night and ended up in the baby girl section. I totally imagined me buying pink pink pink!!! Here I was surrounded by pink and I felt the same feeling, nothing really impressed me enough to buy. I found myself peeking at the baby boy clothes instead. Lol! I don't know if I just feel overwhelmed in the pink section or if I'm trying to be frugal. I'm trying to find clothes on sale. I'm not really worried about newborn clothes, because I'm positive I will have a ton of hand me downs and I'm sure I will have a ton from my baby shower too. So when these winter clothes start going on sale I'm going to start looking for next winter clothes or next summer.

I did find this on the sale rack for only $3. Not the cutest outfit, but I thought I couldn't beat the price.

I also loved and collected Care Bears, My Little Ponies, Baribies.. and Little Mermaid dolls even in my teens I think!!! There was also ..in my later little girl years Little Miss Mermaid, Little Miss Magic Jewels, and Baby Alive that I loved and took good care of!

You can always find them on ebay and watch for deals!

Here's the outfit I picked out for baby girl. It's in a premie size, since all of my babies have been tiny and wore premie for awhile in the beginning, and I figure that this one will be no different, especially given that she's a twin. I think I might use this outfit as the "going home" outfit from the hospital. The mesh bag attached to the outfit holds a white onesie with a mama bear and a baby bear on it, and it says, "mommy loves me." :awe:

Oh and sorry for the crummy pic, the lighting in here today isn't the greatest...

Loving all of the cute little outfits girls - can't believe i may get to buy pink (fingers crossed). Snook a quick look on the next sale website today - so many beautiful things and so cheap. Felt so guilty looking.

How far gone were you all when you started to shop? I've never known this early so never brought anything with the boys til closer to 30 weeks, it always felt like jinxing things with the miscarriage risk but this is the first time i may ever get to buy pink and it seems so exciting. I have a few really cute things i brought when we were ttc just in case i never got to buy pink but am too scared to even look at them - silly i know!

I'd like to say its never too early, but that's because I bought the baby's buggy when I found out I was pregnant in September, but it turned out to be a CP. But now things are feeling a bit more positive I've gone and bought a new seat unit for the buggy and the new car seat with adaptors. Only 34 more weeks (all being well!) and this little one will have its lovely Bugaboo to be pushed around in! (to be fair I bought it at a BARGAIN price second hand, and it was originally intended as a stroller to do the school run for DS2 but when I found out I was pregnant I wanted to keep it all for baby!)

Nope our plan is to have bubs in our room for the 1st year, then i will do his room when he is 1 and moves into a cot. I am nesting though, just cleaning out cupboards and making room for his stuff.

Havent done anything in the nursery yet as like Cinss bubs will be in our room to begin with but probably only for a few months so we will paint it soon. It is currently a very beautiful bright blue lol I painted it for DS2 but they are sharing rooms now so looks like we will have to paint again lol Im thinking we will do a neutral cream colour and decorate with other things all pretty and girly :) I bought some cute little outfits today to celebrate but my phone is on charge so will load tomorrow.

HBP~ I love her room!!! I definitely don't think it's too early to start washing. I'm such a planner and like being very prepared.

We haven't started on anything yet. We wanted to wait until the holidays were over. We still haven't figured out the room situation yet though. We need to do that soon because she already has a wardrobe and I just hate seeing all that pink stuffed in a basket. Shoot, I'm ready to wash and hang her clothes already!!!

I bought a girly carseat cover off of etsy with some Christmas money my mom gave me. I've had my eye on those since before I knew I was having a girl. I wish I would have ordered it in November so it would be here on time but oh well. I'll post a pic as soon as it comes.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year! :)

Butterfly, you'll definitely have to share a picture of it when its all put together!! I've totally been on etsy checking out the carseat covers. We have a peg perego infant carseat and I can't find any to fit it. But have seen some that say "fits in most".

A couple of you have asked me and I wish I could post the pics of the carseat cover. It's super cute! But I will tell you what it looks like..
and I chose a ring sling to match it! I don't want to post their copyrighted pics.. but I will explain the cover:

Minky pink and brown with brown damask print on the pink.
(If that makes any sense! )and the ring sling cover is one layer of brown and one layer of pink with brown damask print trim.

Here's what cracks me up.. that SIL that I no longer speak to gave me a little dress for my baby for Christmas and booties that were completely girly. I used to HATE pink, but I finally made peace with it, and even like it, and at the time I was talking to her I kept telling her.. "One day I will have a daughter and she WILL be dressed in pink!" I don't know if she believed me or not. But last year I incorporated pink more and more into my wardrobe and even got a hot pink zebra print purse as I was swaying! LOL

So it was interesting when she gave me a brown dress for my daughter.. and pink booties her mom crocheted.
It's all a psychological game though.. she didn't buy my girl a PINK dress or purple or any feminine color of the sort. But then I went back and found pics of carseat covers that I liked and ironically.. two choices I loved were pink and brown. Mostly pink and a touch a brown! So I decided.. that's going to be the main theme with her.

I'm in love with pink, and brown and damask together! :)

This year I'm going to learn to sew if it kills me! I know I can if I just be patient and put my mind to it! I want to make a matching carseat canopy so I'll at least have that in time!

I've bought many things so far but haven't taken a photo of them yet (all while I was back home in the US...)

Before I left I saw this on the Target website which wasn't sold in stores and I HAD to have it. My mom ordered it for me and she'll mail it to me when she gets it.

I really don't like pink for girls... it's too gender-controlling to me (I'm so weird!) but I'm okay if it's muted/peachy pink or pretty limited... and this outfit is adorable to me.

I've bought a few more things too but not all are here yet I'll take pics when they come:
3 blankets: pink and brown zebra stripes,
a brown and pink polka dotted one,
a princess pink crown one

A brown and pink polka dotted diaper bag ,

and a my brest friend nursing pillow MY FAVE ( brown pink and yellow polka dots)

Oh, it's just the worry I have over bedbugs.

My DS#1 LOVES the Animal Planet show Infested!
So I can never forget about it, even though I don't hear about it happening.

Because DH and I love to go thrifting for clothes for our kids because you do find treasures, and with little girls (we've recently found out) there is SO much more!
We wanted to buy the store! There's still an epidemic all over the country with bedbugs and they are HARD to get rid of and expensive as hell to eradicate them.
You have to be careful about hotels (even 4-5 star), yard sales, and second hand places, or buying locally from your local classifieds ESP furniture!
After my own research, I'm not even confident about the freezer anymore. Luckily it's Winter right now.. so DH buried the clothes we got in tied up bags in the snow.
So that makes me feel better. :)

It's more effective to put them in the dryer for 40 min on high (when they are dry right when you bring them home ). Heat kills them.
I am super paranoid about them too. I make peopl that visit put their clothes in the dryer lol
The freezer isn't effective though I read..

To treat for them sometimes they heat up rooms and objects so the heat I know works

8290
A case of Pampers (with another on the way via mail). While I have a huge cloth diaper stash, I'm not even trying to pretend that they will get used within the first month or so of giving birth to twins (and having another child in diapers, too)! Ha!

8291
Two Boppy Loungers. I read that these are a must have for moms of twins.

There's even a pink sequined headband! (but I know it's probably too big lol)

He even went to the craft section to get the little faux pearls and buttons!

I bought a ring sling on ebay... You get what you pay for i suppose, it was cheap (er) than the rest and it arrived today. To my horror it has rings made of PLASTIC! ummm not sure that complies with Australian Safety standards! Oh well at least DD has one now that she can put her dolls in while i get a different one :)

I got some goodies from ebay today :) I just pinched the pics from the listings so i dont have to bother taking pics, but they look exactly like this... The green owl towel wrap is a baby shower prezzie for my SIL who is expecting a boy in May and the blue shark one is for my baby boy :) The nursing pillow is for me too, cant wait to start using it!!!

From Etsy. They have all kinds of them on there! But the lady I got it from is from "Baby Seams" shop on there. :) It will take her or any of the ladies 2.5 months to get it out to you.
