Hi. I just turned 37 and for the first time in my life I am having problems with fertility. I am in a dilemma, because I have 1 girl(16) and four boys (12,8.5,4.5,and 2). I really want at least one more baby, but I also really want it to be a girl. In addition I just found out I am allergic to corn, tree nuts, soy, wheat, rice, bananas and a host of other pollen related allergies. Never had allergies in my life:worry: We have been trying since February 2012 and have just decided to stop for a while and get used to all the new diet restrictions. We are starting up again in June after I lose about 30lbs. If my cycle doesn't pick up my doctor will start me again on clomid.(I have only used it with one cycle.) How do I sway girl with all these restrictions? I have a short luteal phase and high estrogen. All my other numbers are within range. This is all very depressing...Anybody going to get healthy and start trying again in June. I would love to be cycle buddies!
I am an avid charter. Saliva, opk, bbt, cm, and cp. Going to start trying to monitor sperm and ph. Although ph hasn't been much of a success. Just getting over bacteria vaginosis from all the girl swaying stuff. I think I am going to try the TBM and just change the ph of the sample and not my vagina.tmi

Welcome to GD, fairy! :)
Sorry about the new diet restrictions! It must be tough to adapt. If you can get on Clomid, that will sway pink very strongly for you. I think you'd still be able to manage an LE diet though, if you go vegetarian and go with rice for your main carb?
It sounds like for some reason you're becoming estrogen dominant. When you say short LP, how short are we talking about? Anything 10+ is fine. Consistently 9 and below can become an issue potentially. You might try Vitex, it works very well for the estrogen dominant to get back to a balanced cycle. We recommend taking Vitex from AF through CD14 or +OPK, whichever comes first. Vitex can delay O if you take it past CD14.
Do you have any charts online that you can link us to? It might help get a better idea of your cycle. If the LP issues have been noticeable for awhile now it might be a good idea to go to your doc and get your progesterone tested and treat any deficiencies asap.
Don't even bother fussing with ph. It's not considered part of the sway at all here.
Please join us on the girl sway boards with any further questions! :)

My luteal phase is 8-13 days but average 9. I think maybe my body has been going wacky because of the onset allergies and it is my hope that once my body has to stop fighting the allergies it will get back on track....that is my hope. I have had at least one m/c between each child so I think maybe I have always had an lp problem. My doctor just started me on progesterone in the last 3 months. It has made a difference. I am researching now things to increase chances of a strong implantation and a thick lining. I know Clomid can thin your lining so I want to try and counter this. I usually use paper to track my cycles, but have just started using Attain fertility...
I will definitely join the ttc girl section. Thanks !
