I wrote a post the other day about not being sure what to do about my sway this cycle after a chemical pregnancy. I am now on CD12 and we last had sex on CD8, early in the morning. Today, I woke up with a bunch of EWCM. I have never had this much. I usually can never detect it! I did not have any when I conceived my daughter. So my question is: what should I do to decrease it? dry it up? I am going to check my OPK today and I am thinking we may be to wait one more day to BD and have a 6 day abstain. Or does that mean I might BD on the day of O? Please help!

THANK YOU SO MUCH :)

Is it too late to take one? I just really wonder why all the sudden I have EWCM when I never have it.

you men to late because of the sex on cd8? you didnt have the ewcm then so i wouldnt think it would be anything to worry about for that day.... i would use it the days of your attempts if you notice a lot... i havnt used it at all cause ive had no ewcm

No, I meant too late to dry it up. Is there anything else I can do?

My OPK was negative. Hmmmm.

Thanks for responding! Does anyone have any insight as to why I would suddenly have ECWM? Would it possibly be due to my chemical pregnancy? Because I have never had it. I am just confused and not more worried about my sway :(

It's completely normal to have EWCM...you need at least some to conceive.
Don't worry...if you have a lot, just take a Benadryl beforehand to dry it up some.

Okay, thanks. I still just find it odd that I have really never had it and now I do. I didn't have it when I conceived my daughter. My OPK was negative today. Should I take benadryl today or what until I have a positive OPK? Thank you!

See comment above too but I guess I don't know if what I had constitutes a lot of CM. Cause now I am fairly dry. It was just when I wiped, and it was enough to cling on to the toilet paper. I just am not sure if I should take benadryl now. Sorry for all the questions!

How many attempts do you plan on making? I dtd the day of my +opk, but I took antihistamine 5 days prior to and the morning of my attempt. I dtd about 12 hours later. You can also take benadryl before you attempt.

Well, at this point, I am hoping for a 6-7 day abstain depending when I get a positive OPK. My husband is 32....so I think we are okay. That is how we conceived my daughter. We last BD'ed on CD8 and today is CD12. So I am wondering if I will ovulate in the next day or two. However, I am not even sure what my body will do because I just had the chemical.

Not sure if I will do one attempt the night of my first positive OPK??

Okay. Now to complicate things more! I just read the whole section about abstaining. It says if your husband exercises a lot and smokes special cigs and drinks then to not abstain. Well, my husband drinks beer a few times a week and takes a few puffs of special cigs a few times a week too. Now I am worried! This sucks. Ovulation may be around the corner and I feel like I don't have a handle on anything. Trying to just stay calm.

..l I don't know I would still abstain lol my DH smokes pot daily and smoke tobacco and I have three boys clearly so I'm not putting too much stock into that one... I did frequent release with this one tho

Stopping breastfeeding can cause it, and I just read in another thread that you recently stopped.

I know I'm late to answer this (again, sorry) but I would advise you to take a Cetirizine/Zyrtec every day starting now, and then the day of your attempt, add a Benadryl 1-2 hours before your attempt.

That can happen - your body sends out a blurp of CM in advance to make sure some swimmers can survive (your body doesn't understand that you take a shower LOL) and then sort of quiets down.

Well, it's your call to make on that. I have to be extra conservative as I'm sure you can understand. The reason I say that is because abstain can make sperm unhealthy, not because it will sway blue for you. Since special cigs also make sperm unhealthy, it's like a double whammy. I just don't want anyone taking unneccesary risks chasing sway tactics that are not in any way a guarantee anyway.

Plenty of people smoke their whole lives and never get lung cancer, but smoking still causes lung cancer.

We have scientific studies that show smoking sways pink and also our anecdotal evidence indicates it does. Of my custom sway plan people, the vast majority of the people who smoke are wanting boys.
