I've noticed that I'm usually only at about 200mg of potassium a day. That's obviously way under the limit. I'm aiming for 1100 calories as I am already quite thin and want to loose a few since I'm only swaying (on diet strict at least) for 3 weeks. What can I eat to boost potassium and still be within the guidelines? I am eating the basic rice, wrap with veggies and cream cheese, some sweets.. not sure what to do!

Potatoes and bananas! I drank daily banana smoothies when I conceived my boys. Looks like perhaps you are swaying pink (from your pic of two boys), maybe just a little more potato and/or banana in moderation. I know they both contain a lot of potassium.

yes, I am.. but my potassium limits are WAY under the recommended even for pink and apparently that's super dangerous.. so just wondering how to increase without ruining the LE diet

I answered this a bit in your other thread but you may actaully be getting more than you think you are. Potassium does not need to be legally listed on labels so you can be getting more than you realize.

That having been said, just eating low cals like that (which for others reading this, I do not recommend going any lower than 1200 a day) does make it hard to get enough potassium.

Coconut water, potato, tomato juice or soup/V8 juice/soup, dairy, almonds, bananas, avocado are all good sources of potassium. If you look at your overall diet, try to find ways to "kill two birds with one stone" and get some of yoru protein or fat needs met at the same time - like if you need calories, fat, and potassium, an avocado can be pretty helpful, but if you don't have the cals or fat to spare, coco water and V8 juice are really low in cals.

Thanks Atomic - and sorry for posting the question twice. I originally did under the LE diet condensed post and realized it was older so might not get answered and made a new thread (I know that must be super annoying so i'm sorry!) It makes sense now, and I think you're right in saying that about fitnesspal. I'm eating veggies with my dinner (usually green beans, cucumber, cauliflower and zucchini) as well as having some cream cheese on a wrap with lettuce and cumcumbers for lunch so I know I'm getting some potassium. I'm not to worried in the end. Like I may have mentioned I am starting TTC this month and so I will have only been on a super strict diet for 3 weeks and a few days so that's why I'm going low cal as I hope to loose just a pound or two being that I'm already underweight. If I don't get pregnant this month and continue on the LE Diet I will be upping the cals for sure

No, that's ok! I just wanted to let you know there was info in the other thread as well! :)
