I'm really hoping to sway for a boy. Dh and I are in our late 30s. I hit 36 next month.
I have a DS whos 7 and I'd love another DS.
Because of the age factor we'd love as many children as possible!
We dont drink / smoke / drugs and eat healthy - hardly have junk food.

Been ttc since Aug and now I'm on CD3 have decided its time to put a little more effort into it!

I dont think much dietary changes need to happen but I'd really like some advice if I'm doing this wrong.

I'll be starting SI today CD3-7.
We are both taking prenatals.
I've upped my folic acid to 2000mg/day.

We both have breakfast; muesli.
Good meals eaten - rice often with meat or chicken. Plenty of fruit / veg also. Use salt.
Never drink fizzy drinks, love smoothies, juices etc
DH keen on peanuts, bananas. I have some too.

I have a 28 day cycle and I do chart and have OV'd last two cycles on CD17. I use OPKs as well.

I'm hoping that all of that will result in a boy sway.

We'd really love a twin sway.

Do you think its possible since:
I'm 35
Hoping the odds are in our favour cos for b/g twins this runs in my mums family. Her older bro/sis are b/g twins.
Also my Gran (mums mum) is a b/g twin.
With my DS I had what I thought was an implantation bleeding for 2 days, had an early scan+they confirmed that I was carrying two babies but was loosing one. I was roughly 7 weeks at the time..

Why would you want to put your babies lives at risk? Twins are high risks and full of complications and usually pre-term and pre term babies sometimes have a lot of problems with development, asthma.... I think twin swaying is a horrible idea and you ate just putting your self and two other people in the way of danger

If your grandma is a twin and on ur moms side then you already have an increased chance in twins I wouldn't do anything else to try and up the chances...

Healthy baby should be every bodies goal here :)
Good luck! :)

As long as you're healthy there's no reason to consider twins are putting your babies lives in danger. That's a bit over the top and only sometimes true that twins are high risk. Many people give birth to twins everyday at full term with zero complications (me included). it sounds like with your age and maternal history you already have a good chance at twins. I would just keep trying to get pregnant though and take your chances. Good luck!

Does anyone think that what I've written could help me in my boy sway ?
I'm keen to get any advice / recommendations with anything I may have missed out or could change.
Thanks!

I think what youre currently eating sounds very boy friendly. Eat a lot of good fats and up your protein. I did not sway for twins, I was not one of those people who wanted twins! Lol! And I'm terrified to have two again! The pregnancy part was fine, it's those first few months that are so rough! We miscarried at 6 weeks and got preg right after, pretty sure that's why I got two! It was QUITE a surprise!!

Interesting you should ask. DH wants us to start swimming again.
I'm hoping that the frat twins could pay a visit too. Have them in family on mums side.
WHATS best way to increase my protein ?

By eating red meat, eggs, nuts, etc. You can have protein shakes too just avoid soy ones go for whey protein.

I think your diet is good however, having boys (IMO) is all in the CM. Lot of good EWM = boy!!

The good thing is, most everythign good for twinning, is good for boys!! Girl twins are more common, however - probably because more boys are lost along the way sadly.

It's a good reminder that twin pg do have risks. Most of the time things go just right, but it is something to consider. :)

Wow I think I need to sort my diet out I'm not getting enough red meat however I have ALOT of protein from dairy, nuts and eggs .. I'm a twin too lol I have a twin sister .. We aren't identical separate sacs etc. We have alot of twins from my dads side but none in my mothers which is quite strange.. I think mother ovulated twice when she had us lol I LOVE being a twin but I'm not sure if I'd ever want twins lol

As long as you're getting plenty of protein, that's the important thing. Red meat may help some, but it's not a magic bullet.

Your mom def. ovulated twice since you're from different sacs, afy. It is believed that all women have the ability to ovulate 2 or more times, jsut that some people do it more often due to genetics. :)
