Hi
Due to the fish oil and EPO sups I had EWCM for 4 days this month. All symptoms point to o on CD15 or 16 but the temps suggest I o'd on CD17 even though by then there was only creamy CM. Is the temp the be all and end all of pinpointing o? If so why am I more fertile in the days before, than on the actual day? This has happened in the past few months but this month it was very noticeable.
I have tried to attach my chart if it helps.

Sometimes temps don't rise until a couple of days after ovulation, so it is possible that you ovulated on day 16. It has happened to me before that ewcm has dried up on O day though.

are you using a BBT thermometer..? your chart doesn't look like you are so you might be missing some of the more subtle temp changes
temping can also be out by a couple of days as some people take more time for the progesterone release to warm you up than others

Thanks for your quick responses.
I didn't realize there was a difference b/w a normal thermometer and a BBT. I didn't really look into it as I have always had a steady, easy to interpret chart. Of course everything had to change the closer I get to the first attempt.

I would tend to go off the temps since you had a clear dip then rise.
It is TOTALLY normal to be more fertile coming into O than on the actual day. Your repro tract is designed to keep sperm alive up inside to wait for the egg. It's actually harder to get pg from DTD on O day than it is in the 1-2 days before O day.

good catch Rainbow, thank you
Yes, you need a BBT for best results.
