Im due my 12 week scan on Jan 22nd but looking at my dates I will only be 11+5. Im aware that nubs can change slightly between then and 13 weeks and so im wondering whether its worth trying to put it back a week to nearer 12+5..... though to honest Ive not seen a nub on any of my previous scans as i think here they are careful not to show too much and its all very quick so i dont want to anxiously be waiting another week for nothing. Im a bit undecided and wondered what peoples views were - how much can change in that week ?

Well a friend of mine heard girl on her 12 week u/s but she seemed only 11+3 then... Her obgyn told here he was right 100% of the time. on a 17 week gender scan 'she' was 100% boy.

Hard decision, i can imagine you can't wait an extra week....

Did you know bout nubs then? I didn't with any of mine and at the time you are focused more on the tech and whether there is a heart beat etc you may not have noticed it. I didn't look at my cvs scan as i didn't want to know in case i saw and it was wrong, but then i was getting gender results 3 days later but watching the dvd back home and it was pretty obvious but then i was in the comfort of home and had seen loads on here in weeks before

I'd postpone it a week, I think it would make a big difference in nub guessing

I heard closer to 13 weeks is better. I'm going when I will be exactly 13 weeks.

It's 50/50 in the 11th week but jumps up to 85-90% by the mid to late 12th week.

I would move it. My scan was at 12 weeks even. And my main obsessions came from the fact that the baby was measuring at the low percentiles of 12 weeks (still at 12, but right on that line) and its nub looked girly. I could only think that my kid would be in that 20-25% at that age that would go on to rise up. I would have felt more "secure" in the guess if it had been a later nub shot, even just 12+4 would have made me less "nuts" over it. It didn't end up rising and she is all girl. But I feel I could have avoided some of the "questions" about age and rising nubs if I had gotten a slightly later scan. Waiting would have been worth it to me, personally.
