View Full Version : Visible EWCM...should I take an AH?!

Ovulation seems to finally be approaching (CD 19)! My tests getting are darker by the day and I have noticed external EWCM the last two days. This is my first month off BC in over a year so I wasn't sure what to expect as far as my cycle goes.

My question...is it ok to have some visible EWCM for swaying girl? It's clearly there when I wipe.

This is my first month off birth control and I've been following the diet so I didn't think I'd even observe ANY CM. Should I take an AH to try to get rid of it? I know I need *some*, but I thought maybe the fact that it's visible externally was maybe TOO much.

I'm over analyzing everything now that we're down to the wire here!

Other notes: DH is on the diet, taking LR and aspirin AND we've DTD every.single.day since CD 6. Can you say frequent release??!!:worry: Also been using spermicide daily about 10-12 hours prior to all BDing.

the diet itself won't prevent EWCM, but should ensure that any EWCM you get is a lower pH than otherwise

with all the lowering you're doing I don't think you need to take one, but it won't hurt to try if you're not in a rush to get pregnant and if you have a history of conceiving fast

I'm sorry I only just now saw this, never be shy about sending me a PM with a link if something needs immediate attention and I always answer q's in the Dream Members section first so you can also post there if you're a DM.

Unsatisfying answer - we don't totally KNOW how much and what kind of CM you should see. It's pretty tough to get pg without any CM - you do need some. And I can testify that I had CM for a few days when I conceived DD.

Since you are doing a strict sway in other ways, I would personally not take an antihistamine. YOu may need some
CM to allow any swimmers to get through. But if you did take one, that's ok too. The only risk is not getting pg, it will only help your sway.

Some people have gotten less CM while on diet alone, others had to add in antihistamine and other supps to dry it up. Everyone is different in that department and it can even be different for each individual from month to month.
