Hi all, have been lurking on here for a few months now so about time I said hello and thank you to everyone for the wealth of info posted on this site. We have 2 boys and I'm desperate for a little girl. dh has recently agreed to baby no.3. and have been reading up on swaying/HT. Currently deciding which is the best option for us as adore my boys but not sure how I would feel if I put my heart and soul into a sway only to be told blue again. Im 30 now and it would take us 3 or 4 yrs to save up for a trip to see Dr Potter and even then there are no guarantees it would work first time. As you can prob tell, I'm a worrier! but willing to do whatever it takes to have a dd.
Have bought a basal thermometer and have started to log my cycle dates/temp/ewcm etc so that if we did decide to sway I'd have a better knowledge of my cycle. Also some PH strips from amazon but they don't seem to change colour when I try to test cm...what do other people use to test PH?
Thanks everyone :pinksperm:

Welcome aboard! Keep charting to see if you can pin down O...I wouldn't worry too much about the ph stuff, you might find success just sticking with the LE diet. GL!

Welcome!! I think your best chance would be to get your PCOS under control with diet. Not sure what your diet is like now but chances are if your PCOS is mild you could probably balance your hormones out with diet. There is a great blog called the Primal Parent High Carb Diets Can Cause Morning Sickness | The Primal Parent (http://theprimalparent.com/2012/04/12/high-carb-diet-cause-morning-sickness/).
BTW, she has two daughters eating the way she does:)
GL and I hope you get your DD!!

Ohhh to be 30 again! I’m 37 and in the same situation as you - 2 fab boys but something missing. Loads of info here and everyone is fabulous (i’ve suffered a chemical and found the ladies here just amazing). Swaying is just what it says on the tin - a way of moving the odds in your favour, not a guarantee. Would you feel able to go for four if your third was another boy? You are still young (she says with envy). If not consider HT if your religion/ finances allow. Good luck x

Hi Emily! Running around after two little monkeys makes me feel older than 30 but yes I know if I don't at least try for a dd I will look back and wish I had. Dh says deff no baby no.4...so it's a tremendous amount of pressure to be under if we tried to sway this time. I know how you feel, i love my boys and am blessed to have two healthy children, but it just feels like something missing. Cant explain how much it means to me

^^Most of us have a hard time putting it into words. But the beauty is that everyone here completely understands that desire (for one gender or the other). So, welcome aboard. This site is so fabulous, I bet you find what you are looking for here :) And hopefully that means welcoming a little lady into your family!
