Abstain then BD through O - TTC Girl - possible or not?

Hi all,
I'm on CD 15 - normally get positive OPK today, we have abstained since CD 5 so 10 days so far - DH is getting impatient!!! The plan was do DTD once on the day of positive OPK.

If we DTD tonight what do we do to sway pink afterwards as we havent concieved so far with cut off (only one attempt tonight will = BFN) - do we DTD everyday through O - or just to positive OPK or are we better to hold off until positive OPK and stick with the original plan?

if you want to abstain i would wait (unless you don't think he will wait). Otherwise you could do compressed FR. In terms of bd every day from now it depends when you are likely to o unless you can get enough releases in sperm count will have recovered from the abstinence but not be depleted from the FR.

I can't remember exactly but I think there's a maximum time you should abstain for... looking at your previous charts OV date is quite variable and can be as late as CD27?
I think you need to DTD on the day of pos OPK, perhaps the day after too. Is DTD every day feasible for you?

My cycles are crazy - yes Feb 2012 I took SP with Vitex and it delayed O to day 27 - had a 39 day cycle (urgh!). My LP is short ranges from 8-13 days.

On average I Ov around day 18/19 - I think I will make him wait to positive OPK (hopefully tomorrow :worry:) maybe just go for the one attempt??

We have had lots of cycles DTD every day from CD7 ish (I also have a long light AF, 7/8 days) with 2-3 day cut off - last month we were closest to Ov - before on and after and still BFN :(. This is the first abstain try - :nails:

I would wait if at all possible but if he won't, there are some good ideas in the thread above. Good luck!!
