HI LADIES I WAS TOLD ITS A GIRL AT OUR SCAN. BUT NOW IN DOUBT AS ANOTHER TECH ON ANOTHER FORUM HAS STATED IT MIGHT BE A GIRL 7810AS ITS NOT A CLEAR PICTURE.... I BELIEVE ITS CLEAR HOWEVER I REALLY NEED VOTES!! WHAT DO U THINK? HELP

Was told by a tech on ingender it's not a clear picture and its too early to guess at 18 weeks and 5 days :( to be honest I'm shocked as I've been so over the moon with happiness it's a girl :(

I dont think a tech would be saying its too early at 18 weeks, either its not a tech or they are blind.

I didn't want to reply on your other post- but I don't think this was the best 'girl' shot that I've seen. The legs look too close together - and it looks like it 'could' be squished boy bits. Did they give you any other potty shot pictures?

Also- it's not too early to guess at 18.5 weeks.......but there have been girls on here told one gender at their 16-18 week scan and then the opposite gender at their 20 week scan. It all depends on how good your tech was who did the ultrasound.

during ultrasound baby was very easy to work with. She got all measurements easy and legs were apart... There are 3 white lines... There was no issue getting a picture but this is the only picture as I asked for this as proof to post on this forum. Everyone has said girl except one person who I believe to be experienced . I thought this was a clear picture compared to other pictures as I've look at confirmed pics and googled images. When I put my picture up against a boy image there is nothing between the legs....

If u zoom in on the picture u will see there is a gap between the legs.... boys don't have gaps!!

This is the only picture I've seen similar to yours. Hers was confirmed boy- but I think the baby was also only 16 weeks or so. I hope that is your girl! When do you have another scan?

Here's the comparison- yours is on the left. See how the other one has the legs further apart?

It's a girl... Don't stress. That's a for sure 100% girl. Especially if the tech that did it said girl -- she was obviously looking the whole time and saw nothing indicating a boy. It's almost impossible to discredit her conclusion based on one photo. Congratulations on your daughter! :)

The legs are really close together. 18 weeks certainly isn't too early but this just isn't the best shot. I'm sure your tech got a good view during the live scan and a penis should have been very obvious when baby opened its legs.

I think it's a girl! I'd trust your tech as she saw more than just this picture. It's not the best girl picture but I still think girl! Can you go get another scan just for re-assurance?

Looks like a girl to me. I see three (if slightly squished) lines, and nothing protruding past the body of the baby, like it would in a boy. At 18 weeks a penis would be a lot more obvious. I'm not claiming to be an expert (and I'm not a sono tech!), but I am a midwife and I look at these things fairly regularly. If you were a client in our office, I would say 80% certain it's a girl.

MY doctor told me that 18-20 weeks is ideal for guessing, so I think you can be confident it's a girl.

I'm not an expert, but it looks girl to me!
