We have a friends meal coming up at the weekend and there is no way i could hide the bump any longer so we have privately messaged those that are going to tell them our news and ask them not to mention to anyone else or post congratulations on FB etc until feb when we officially announce it after our scan.
Everyone was so lovely but one friend took look at my photo and say "my god u sure its not twins in there ?" which started a bit of a natter among everyone about it. Luckily it didnt set me off and i told them it was definately only 1 baby and seems to have calmed things down - I thought comments like that would be harder to deal with but luickily caught me on one of my less hormonal days - today id probably have cried !!
Feels nice to have told them as was really worried about what to wear as nothing fits and all my loose stuff still shows the bump and my maternity stuff is ugly so now they know i can just stick on a tight dress and flaunt it :-)
