Ugh, I'm so mad at myself for totally blowing my girl diet today! I am at 2 or 3 (I think 3) DPO, and I was as a party for my son and ate tons of salty pita chips, a cookie, etc... it's like I just couldn't stop myself! I think my body was craving salt SO badly, once I had a taste I was out of control! I am feeling guilty, especially since I have a feeling we did not conceive this cycle. Will this totally throw things off for next month, or if I try to be really good on the diet between now and then, do you think it will be okay? Anyone else fall off the diet like this? I need more self control - I had been SO good before this!

NO! It is all about the ratios of sodium/potassium to calcium/magnesium. There was some calcium and magnesium in what you ate too, I am sure! Just hop back on the wagon!

I think it happens more than people admit. It's ok  Keep going, you CAN do it!!

It happens! It will be ok! If you think about the idea that "hard times = more girls", even when times were hard some days would be feast days and they would eat a lot those days and then less on other days. It's the overall pattern that you're after, to send that message to your body that a baby girl has a better shot at survival.
