Hi everyone!! I’m brand new here just found this site & so far it’s been very helpful. I’m hoping to make my 1st attempt to TTC a girl in March. I’ve been on IG & thought I had my sway plan created, but now as I’ve been reading through the stickies here I’m second guessing my plan & totally confused!?!?
So this is the questions I have so far, I was planning on taking calcium citrate, mag & vitamin C should I take them or just skip them altogether?? Also I was going to take cranberry but now I’m not sure should I skip that for baby aspirin?? Finally how about B6 I was thinking of that also to help increase progesterone & maybe help my cycle. I’m on BCP now but my cycle has never been normal & I hoped it might help that. Should I take that or skip it & look into Vitex?? Finally can I take the vitex on BCP or do I ahve to wait til I'm off of that? The only thing I know for sure at this point is that I’m taking folic acid!!
Please help I’m sooo confused! Thank you!!!

I did vitex, calcium, magnesium, and B50 complex and my DH did the calcium, magnesium and cranberry.
Not many ladies on here do those supplements though so I'll let them chime in for you ;)
Feel free to click my name and read the Vitex threads I created. Vitex Time and My Vitex Journey.
I lost my first little one my first cycle of Vitex, (due to low thyroid function most likely)
So the cycle right after that I added red raspberry leave capsules as well. Just wanted to throw that in there.
But...
8215 to GD, I think you will love it here and the ladies are VERY nice and sweet and supportive!!!! :D

Hi and welcome.
a brief explanation of why the advice on this site is different from that on IG is here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/7507-ig-vs-gd-swaying-whats-difference-who-atomic-sagebrush-anyway.html
Personally, I would NOT take any of those things. I got my 4th boy taking 100 mg B6, Vit. C, cal, and mag. Then I got my girl taking none of them and with my lowest dairy intake ever in my entire life.
Coming off the BCP is going to help your pink sway anyway.
It's best to wait until after stopping the BCP for at least one cycle before starting the vitex, otherwise your cycle can get really crazy.

Atomic sagebrush,
Thank you so much for the welcome & response. I have been reading through your posts & have found them to be so helpful and informative. Also they have relaxed me a lot!
Not sure if you may have seen my other post but I have to get off the BCP now. It has been making me miserable for months and after talking to DH we feel now is the time. In your opinion do you think if my sway is not till March I will still get any extra help from being on the BCP??
I have 4 kids & 1 of them is a girl. Been going over my life pre- her conception a lot lately & even though it was 9 years ago & I don’t remember everything I do know that my stress level was pretty low & I was on South Beach Diet. I know high protein is not recommended & I’m def looking at the LE diet. But I bring this up cause at the time I know for a fact that I was not eating enough or healthy at all. I remember almost fainting many times so I can def see how cutting calories could help. Also I had no vitamins, was using aspartame & had gotten off the pill in Sept & conceived in Nov. Very similar to now.
The only thing I can’t replicate (& really wouldn’t want to) is 2weeks before I O’d for her I had a cyst rupture & had emergency surgery. Looking back I’m pretty sure we DTD 1 time right at O cause that was the 1st time I could. Yet another similarity is that I do actually have 2 cysts now..
One quick question I get staying away from the vitamins & for the vitex I will go a full cycle before I really consider it but how about the Saw Palmetto & baby aspirin for me & the licorice root for DH would you use them?
OK sorry this got long anyway my point again thanks your info has really put a lot of things in place for me. Going to rework my sway a bit & get started ASAP!

Agh I missed this, please bump your post if you don't hear back from me and it feels like I forgot or something.
I think the BCP can sway longer than one month, it's just that I wouldn't COUNT on it as a sway tactic otehr than that first month.
You're exactly right, that even a high protein diet like South Beach can sway pink if you're not eating enough while on it. It's NOT diet per se that sways, it's the effect it has on yoru body - anytime you are in declining condition, you're more likely to conceive a girl, even if you eat a side of beef first LOL.
I do think saw palmetto and LR are a good sway, if you want to use them I do think they can help. I didn't. Aspirin, I could go either way on. I don't think it hurts anything, but I'm not as convinced it really sways pink.
