I did a lot of OPK testing and temps this mid jan. and my DH got freaked out and we lost any chance of trying after me being on serious blue diets, sups and weight training. Please is it adviseable not to inform DH of these and just go with the flow? As I know timing won't be carried out if DH is not informed. I need help please, am a bit confused now, as I thought I had it all figured out.

I didnt tell DH when I had my peak, we were dtd every other day anyway but he knew :) probably because I was unmistakably excited.
I think he did feel the pressure, I just said not to worry we'll try again later and we got there ;)

So we aren't the only ones! I'm thinking next month I'll have to drop the frequency and just not tell DH because the pressure gets to be too much as we've found out this month... There's no way to trick him into it unless I do an abstain (swaying pink) with one attempt but I don't like that option..

I need an essay on this.
I think we are seeing much higher rates of dh compliance when we leave them a bit less in the know. the more pressure, the worse they seem to handle it.
don't worry about timing, it does not sway . just try to entice him every few days for ttc boy

I think if you are on the HE diet, then going with the flow is fine. Thats what ended up happening with me, DP didnt sway at all except for DTD when i would tell him to, but it did get to him, and in the end i told him im giving up if it happens it happens, and it did!

Any time that we weren't TTC, DH would be all into it, heck yeah, more sex! Now since we are TTC, it's like pulling teeth when we actually need to! I really wanted to yesterday but he was all grouchy and wouldn't budge. I even told him I had his favorite undies on...still a no go. sigh

It' really good to know I never had a plague during this month's Ov. as I can see am not alone on board. Thanks ladies for your encouragement. I never pressured him just the Opk +ve info he knew about just threw him off. Infact my DH is the one putting me under pressure for another baby as I wanted us to ttc when our DD turns 2yrs 6months as she is currently 1yr6months. Just surprised to get this and prior to this he wants to dtd morning and evening. Weekends every now and again through out the day, shocking turn around (so sorry TMI).

Thanks AS, I will try again in a couple of months as my DH is going off to work for 3months. I had done a 3/4 days cut offs from AF to OV but the Ov one failed as we couldn't dtd. Will leave him out next time. lol!

DH freaked out when the preseed and OPKs arrived in the post so I told him I was just maximising my chances of getting preggers (cos I'm 39 now) and didn't talk about swaying or anything to him. Nothing would ever put him off BDing but I know he'd dislike it becoming "clinical". So, I didn't mention any of it. He didn't notice me on the HE diet because 90% of my diet is like that anyway and I didn't POAS for OPKs in front of him. I did ask that he stop "self releasing" which is a daily thing for him (so when we've conceived our girls he's been daily self releasing AS WELL as BDing) but said it was for enhanced sperm quality cos we're getting older and we'd a finite time for baby making in. Sorry if TMI but I used the applicator for the preseed and I'm not even convinced he noticed. Around ovulation I used a bit more but said it was cos I was nervous the baby would wake up and wasn't sure if I'd "warm up" properly.
I tried to keep it fun. One night he came home with a bottle of wine and we shared it and BDed even though it wasn't a "BD night" and even though I wasn't drinking whilst TTCing.
Anyway, I've got a BFP now at least, will just have to wait to see what colour it is!

Congrats mum to three girls, thanks for this , I believe I became too clinical with OPKs and temps and he has never seen them before.
I am praying for blue for you and I believe you will be changing your name soon to "Mum to three girls nd a Prince"

MSBLAKELY, I wish you luck as well, will be good to know how it went next, will keep you informed. I really believe putiing DH in the dark will work and entice 3/4 days from AF to O as advised by Atomic.
And am planning to use OPKs and temps in the bathroom when am alone/ when DH is off to work. You can try hiding them as well. GDL dear.
