Hi ladies,

Now that the deed is done, should I start taking prenatals? Can they sway after O? Also how do we bridge from taking the separate folic acid to the prenatal?

Also, I had to stop cranberry cold turkey as I know you are meant to take after O and my O came three days early so had to stop suddenly :nails: I hope this will be ok...

Thanks

I wouldn't. Not in the 2ww. I don't think they "sway" in the 2ww but if you don't get pg, then you have 2 weeks under your belt of vitamins. The first 2 weeks they aren't really drawing anything from you anyway.

I"m not sure about the folic acid...I know I have read it somewhere though. Just keep taking what you have been for now till BFP and then start that process

I think on IG people did stop taking cran cold turkey. Not sure what the current thinking is.

no you shouldn't stop-start vitamins. Start taking them when you get your BFP

no wait for bfp both for swaying and safety

folic acid should be continued through the entire first trimester of pregnancy and then gradually wean off over 2-3 weeks

that is why I don't recommend cran

I did, with both my sways, but that's because I had a ton of symptoms right away and I just knew that I was most likely pregnant. Also for this sway, there was no way I could ttc for the next few months anyway so I figured it couldn't hurt.

BUT I agree, in general, I would advise to start taking prenatals once you get your BFP :)
