Does anyone know if it counts as a serving of fruit?
I'm assuming if you use coconut shavings it counts as a fruit since you are eating the meat of the fruit, but I wasnt sure about the water. Or oil? Probably no?

Coconut, though technically a fruit, is nutritionally more like a nut and is counted like one. Since the meat doesn't count as a fruit, I can't imagine the juice would. The oil is a fat and doesn't count as a fruit any more than olive oil does.

Actually even tho Sihaya is totally right and coco water is not technically a serving of fruit, I allow you guys to count it as such for your 9-11 servings just because it's SO MUCH to eat and drink on the HE Diet. Same with the lemon in the lemon water (so long as you use a whole lemon every day.)

Thanks! I was googling it but my search engine results didn't give me this one.
So I guess if you roll dates in coconut shavings, that doesn't add to the fruit :) oh well, still yummy.

Oops, Sorry! I couldn't tell it was an HE-diet swayer asking. Forgot they have to get a certain number of servings a day.
Coconut anything is awesome for a blue sway! I was eating tons of it when I got pregnant with both of my boys - coconut oil, shavings, water, etc.
