Yes the pregncare with fish oil is great. Look for whey protein powder (try to avoid ones with soy) you can drink them as a snack but have some form of carbs with it, or just have it with a meal, i was putting mine in smoothies and baking.

Hey just reading through.. I have frozen berries with full fat yoghurt and some milk Added to it but I crack 1 or 2 eggs in there for protein.. AS also said that's good for those who don't want to take any protein powder.. I sometimes have it with breakfast or my mid morning or early afternoon snack.

In addition to the whey vs. soy protein, be sure with the protein shakes that they are not artificially sweetened. Not only because you should avoid artificial sweeteners but also because you need protein + carbs at every meal and snack. Personally I do not think you should use it as a meal replacement regularly - you could def. use it as a snack, but real food = boys.

love love love pregnacare with fish oil! :agree:

But does dairy sway pink?

I do not believe dairy sways pink and the best diet study we have seems to indicate it may sway blue to some extent (full fat dairy, that is).

I ate tons and tons and tons of dairy with my boys and then got my girl eating hardly any.

The HE Diet allows full fat dairy as often as you would like it. If you're following the IGD or FGD then no, you are not supposed to have dairy - but let me just tell you, all that you accomplish by eliminating dairy is that your body takes the same amount of calcium from your bones and teeth, the levels in your body do not change at all. (google calcium homeostasis)

I was having a smoothie every morning when I conceived my DS. Alternating between Vega (which is hemp and pea protein mix) and Dr. Mercola's whey protein. Mixed in with a banana, some organic yogurt and some berries. YUM.

I only did protein shakes right after a workout to feed my muscles. I would use whey protein and you can add any and all fruits and even veggies that you want

I also used ProtoWhey, i tried Double Choc, Strawberry Cream and Cafe Mocha, all yummy but kept going back to the chocolate. My fav snack was mixing it with greek yogurt, it is like a desert when you do that.

Huds is it very urgent that you have your first attempt in March? If you left it 1 more month i think you would be more prepared personally. But if you do go for it in March there is a chance you will get your son, there is always a chance, and there is also a chance of a BFN so that would give you more time too, its up to you.

Totally agree with Cinss. There is always a chance even if you don't sway. The question is are you ok having a girl, is this your last chance or can you sway again, are you doing everything you can to sway, will you feel you did everything you could if you happen to have a girl or will you regret something??? Personally I would get everything right first and have a full 3 months on diet, sups and strength training at the least. But it has to be what you're comfortable with!
