Nuchal scan today and am bricking it :-(

I dont know if its because of all the bad scans ive had lately with the vanishing twin syndrome etc but I am more nervous than i ever remember being before - I literally feel sick and just cant elp but think we are going to go and baby is going to have died - I know I should stay positive and be excited but something is just making me feel this way.
Anyway Ill pop back later and update you all and hopefully be able to share a photo though I dont think it will have a nub as my hospital dont usually print things like that and i certainly dont have one of the 3 boys but I will be scanning the screen during the scan just in case i see anything :-) Can someone remind me what im looking for ?

GL with your scan Mum23boys!! Dont worry everything will be just fine with with bub :) What time is your scan? Will be thinking of you then :) About the nub you need to look for something sticking out from between babys legs lol either sticking a bit up, or straight out (:fingers:) If you look I dont think you can miss it lol, I couldnt anyway it was the first thing it came on the screen lol.
Dont worry and dont stress yourself!! That baby is one strong little one!! x

Well I watched the screen for 15 mins and didnt see a single nub shot - baby had its legs in the air alot of the time hiding most of the view and was waving its hands around like crazy too and you not what i really couldnt care less that i didnt see anything I was just so relieved to see it moving happily away - they dated me between 7th-10th August.

We didnt take boys fish as little one was at nursery older 2 at school - i think if you dont need to take them and can get care I would - just in case - i know its horrible to think about but you just never know.... id rather wait and share the photos with them and be able to answer all there questions whilst in the comfort of home but thats just me everyone is different.

Fish I'd agree with mum23 after my experience on Monday, leave the older kids if you can just in case. I hope everything will be just fine for you though.

Yeah i thought it was too high up too... ive reposted as clear as i can get it but i still think its just wishful thinking as nothing obviously popped out to me on the actual scan which im sure it would have if it had been seen as i was properly concentrating and to be honest she spent so much time cutting off its legs i didnt see much of the right area anyway apart from when she took these pics she was more concerned about the head / neck etc

mrs p i cant find liams 12 week one and the other 2 boys look EXACTLY like this baby but Im not looking too much into it. Im telling myself i still have a 50 50 chance and the longer i can stay in my dream world the better so will be staying team green till the bitter end and then if its another boy i know i wont care - although im going to hold on to the hope of a girl im not going to covince myself it it I am going to call it he and choose boys names and tell everyone i think its a boy etc that way it wont be such a shock :-)

Having read up on nubs alot and having not had a nub shot with any of my boys im sure this is another boy - surely if it was agirl id have seen a nub - i mean i have 11 pregnant friends 10 of which are due girls and have perfect girl nub shots - you just cant seem to miss girly nubs where as boys nubs are smaller so we just dont see as many ... hence im convinced this is boy number 4

i have perfect nub shots from my 12 week scan, none from my scan a week later. NHS scan was no way near as clear as the private scan and the didn't get the angles as good to see it yet its so clear on the dvd from the 12 week scan. not seeing a nub doesn't tell you anything, especially not that its a boy (unless mine is a boy and the nub had gone up then)
