I never found this to be accurate, but I thought we should share our experiences!

It was in the middle for me first DD, low for the 2nd and really low for the 3rd DD. DS was in the middle to low.

My boys have always decided to abide by this OWT. :p

In fact, besides the extreme nausea of DS#3, I found them freakily accurate for me. :D

My girls have always had high heart rates. I forgot to ask what the heart rate was for this one, I'll have to wait a month to find out.

I can't remember my numbers but I know they definately sounded different. How about if people with home dopplers recorded theirs and posted them, we could see what they sound like!

Cassies was high in the beginning (for the gestation I think)! At 5w6d, her HR was 133. Then it went to 160s..as I got further in my pg..145s.
The boys had HRs at around 150s.

Oddly enough, this owt proved true for me. DD's heart rate was always well into the "girl" range. My boys heart rates were consistently much lower. DD's hb never fell below 160 I believe.

My 4 boys have been all over the place. I had my own doppler with no4 and used to listen all of the time (I bought it because of this theory). It changed through out the day so I dont believe in it anymore either.

My OB said the HR starts low at around 5 + weeks and increases 3 beats per day and then slows down again after 12 or so weeks. So I think to truly compare we should tell the first visit rate at what week, then etc. For my DD the first visit was at 9 weeks and it was 172. Then in the 2nd trim it was 165. This one on the 7.4 week scan it was 150.

both DS were high. 10w u/s were in the 170s and stayed at a range between 150s-170s until birth. this OWT did not work for me

Just had my 12week 6day scan & heart rate is 150bpm, so if its meant to slow down I wonder by how much, gosh having to wait 6 whole weeks seems ages away.
