I really can't decide to be honest. It was originally going to be July. Then I decided June would be better, but I then thought May was better. This week I have been considering April, but this morning I was pondering starting next cycle lol. I will let you know when I decide!!

Hey ladies need some advice! I hardly ever fall ill or get colds of fevers but lo and behold since Ive been on the HE diet since November, I have had earache like 2times and suffered from chesty coughs and now I'm recovering from a fever/body aches/ sore throat!! I'm just not so sure as to whether I should continue with TTC April/may .. I know illness sways pink! :/ confused.com any suggestions?!?!?
Princess of Pink
February 6th, 2013, 02:52 PM
I have been sick for weeks too first with a flu that is still lingering, and then an upset tummy. Funny how eating healthy, exercising and taking sups makes me ill when I normally don't get sick often. Keep planning for then and work on getting well by April/May. I wouldn't put it off though.
afy
February 6th, 2013, 10:54 PM
Yea same here I hardly ever get ill and just went I start the diet everything goes the complete opposite! Yea hopefully I will have recovered by then or something else doesn't creep up!
Does anyone know if we can eat molases, fenugreek and fennel seeds??
Princess of Pink
February 7th, 2013, 07:21 AM
Are you exercising or weight training and you haven't done it before? I think that might be why I am getting sick. My personal trainer seems to think it could have something to do with it, as when you work the muscles you also work down into the nervous system which can weaken your immune system if you over do it apparently???

February 7th, 2013, 08:37 AM
I was a exercise freak well before my daughter was born exercised like mad for 4 years straight .. And after she was born I stopped it due to c section and did exercise here and there.. By now that you mention that it could be exactly that.. Exercising after a long time! But I haven't done alot all of a sudden though just slowly built myself up but past 2weeks did push up the treadmill!

Personally for me when I started going to the gym I was getting sick all the time...and I am convinced I was picking the germs up at the gym!. I became obsessed with spraying the equipment down before I used it... but I still got sick. I made my DH invest in a recumbent bike and rowing machine for the house :)

No, I don't trust them, too much female infanticide in China, if it was true, they will be the first to use the calender. Though it was right for my DD, I still believe it was a sheer luck.

Hello ladies. What are your thoughts on breastfeeding and swaying?
Generally speaking BF sways pink... But if you are down to only a couple of feeds a day it shouldn't matter too much, as long as you are taking lots of supps to up your nutrient stores. You may not be able to conceive easily while BF so you would be on the diet and supps longer giving you a better boy sway.
ELP
February 9th, 2013, 04:11 AM
This is my problem aswell. Davey is still a massive b/fer so I am taking a bucket load of supps. The main down side for me is that I think I jusy ov'ed but had zero ewcm again which I'm sure is to do with the b/f. On a plus side though in the past I have conceived boys and girls whilst b/f so its no guarantee for either, just another little nudge in one direction which we can sway against:)
I should really update my sway thread as I have added a daily black cherry supp and a large scoop of mixed greens powder which has loads of stuff in it, unfortunately it has flax seed aswell which dried me up last time, but I can honestly say I feel great after taking it in general and hope thstbthe overall energy boost is helping!

Hi ladies, was hoping to join you all in February, but it is looking like it is going to be March or April for us before TTC again after MC and D&C at 10 weeks :( My dr told me just to wait through one period...so I suppose we could try in March (expecting first period around March 7th). At this point, I am no longer swaying at all, just praying for a healthy baby that sticks. Wishing you all well!

Holy shit a brick!! I had a reading done by Cara who says she STRONGLY feels I will have twins....at least one girl! OMG that would be 100% my luck...twin girls!! I also had a reading last year by mis2ninos (the ONLY person who predicted I would not fall pregnant last year and needed to wait to get my desire) who did about 4 readings for me and every time pulled out one boy and one girl card....she also was thinking maybe boy/girl twins.
I think I may die from worry!! 7 kids and working full time may kill me if worry doesn't!!

hmm that is interesting. Cara and Mis2 both told me boy, but both had conception dates wrong, Mis2 was closer with that she was just 1 month off. But if my baby comes 2 weeks early it will come in April which is when Cara said i would conceive.

Thanks for the advice ladies. My baby girl just turned one and we have been down to one bfing a day, I've been super cramy but cm is thick and sticky.. I know that is not ideal for boy swaying. I am taking supplements, zinc and flaxseed oh also just started L-arginine and green tea I'm also on a boy diet. I seem to not have much luck changing the cm or my ph. Should I change supplements?

Okay I was down to one bfing a day, but Alayna has been really sick and she won't eat or drink all she wants is bf. So a few steps back in our boy swaying. On another note, something odd has been going on with my body I've been having this pulling sharp pain down really low if I cough or laugh it hurts like pressure, could this be a bladder infection? It's really odd. I've also been very tired. I am so scared something could be wrong with me :(

Now the logical part of my brain knows that psychics have every chance to be wrong and there is a lot of them out there that just purely guess (it is 50/50 and it's easy to get it right when there is only 2 answers). I am doing everything in my power to sway, I won't be dropping my sway tactics and if I fall pregnant I won't feel there was anything else I could have done short of HT. But I have had 4 readings that all say I will conceive in May, or get a BFP in June (which I will get if I conceive in May) and they have all said girl (or twin girls). It's hard when 4 are identical not to get disappointed! I am going to keep swaying hard but prepare for a girl I think.

PoP, you are sure to get your own TLC television show if you end up with 7 girls! :)
Don't put a bit of thought into the psychic stuff, there was a thread over on IG years ago and the % of right "guesses" for the psychics was exactly 50/50!

Pop, one of the reasons I was so certain that Sawyer was going to be a girl was that Cheri22 and Brook (both with pretty good records of gender prediction) said I would get pregnant with a girl. Lots of others did predict boy, but for some reason the girl predictions really got to me. Well, obviously they were wrong. Oh, and by the way, one lady (from ebay, I can't remember who it was, I purchased quite a few from there) predicted a girl before I was pregnant, but then once I was pregnant, I asked for a gender prediction, and she said boy. And she was the one who got the conception month right.
In my opinion, Cara and Mis2Ninos have both had good track records. They were right for me. Didn't they say boy/girl twins for you?

PoP its very obvious that the psychics are just throwing a 3 month guess at you, because it is most likely that ANY woman will fall preggers in or around the 3 month mark, then if you dont... like you and i both didnt last time they will give you another 3 month window. As for gender it really has been seen time and time again that they are accurate 50% of the time, i think they just toss a coin.

Do twins run in your family?
Anyway to make yourself feel better, google psychics by their name + accuracy.... That helped me a bunch. Every single one of them is wrong some of the time. Brooke told me that even she makes mistakes and that no psychic can get gender right 100% of the time!
Also, if everyone is telling you May and girl, why not skip TTC in May? When I first started swaying and getting predictions, several people said August and girl. So I didn't TTC in August, and I didn't TTC in November because that would have given me an August due date.

Got a reality check today I think. My best friend was expecting girl #4 and went for an 18 week u/s only to discover that baby had passed away a few days earlier. She only had one heart chamber and fluid on the brain. She is going in today to be induced. I will continue swaying my heart out, but will happily take one or two little girls if it means having a healthy baby that I get to take home with me.

Well I started it in July 2012.....But got super serious and totally strict in December. So 7 months diet, 3 super strict. Been on fish oil, B12, multi for 8 months and everything else for 3 months. Lifting weights, etc for 2 months now.
I have conceived 10 times in the past on my first attempt, but TTC'ed Jan-June last year with no success so expect it may take a few months.

Has anyone gained a lot of weight on the diet? I'm not weighing myself because I want to stay in denial but I'm sure I have. I'm working out often and eating very little processed food but it's still a lot of calories and a ton of nuts so high fat. I see some of you have been on the diet for awhile and wondering how you are doing it?

Do you have your diet on here anywhere? I am trying to be healthy but I feel like I am eating a ton of nuts and I'd really like to eat less. I generally snack all day with my biggest meal being lunch. I am hungry all the time though!! Everytime I get hungry, I get paranoid my blood sugar is dropping and I eat.

I put on a fair amount of weight in the first 9 months of my sway so i decided to cut out all take away foods, i cut out lots of carbs like bread and rice, replaced them with low gi carbs like sweet potato and oats. I stopped drinking calories, only water through out the day. Breakfast was my biggest meal lunch was medium and dinner was small. I ate 10 almonds per day with a green apple for morning snack, so didnt overdo nuts, ate my fruits for the day before the afternoon (so the natural sugars would burn off) and veggies at dinner time with lean meat with all fat cut off. Working out was very helpful and at the time i conceived i had just lost about 6kgs.

I just found out another friend of mine is having a boy. All three people that are pregnant are having boys and they all had girls first! I'm a little jealous but hopeful it will happen for me too.

Lol OMG you ladies make me feel so guilty! I cannot live off a small meal I get stomach pains because of starvation. I do generally have a big breakfast with oats oatmeal with peanut butter and a banana and mid morning snack is almonds and dates.. And i have larabars with coconut water, cheese and crackers.. sometimes apple with peanut butter.. i just think its all this rich food Im eating.. i dont eat from out much either. I'm really cutting back on bread and if I do it's whole grain.. I do always eat before I go sleep ( its usually breakfast cereals or 3dates with glass of milk) because by the time I get up in morning my stomach grumbles bad lol
Any advice on what else I could replace the bread with and what else I could eat.. I've gained weight but I checked recently I lost 5pounds in a month I don't know if it just fat turned into muscle but I've gone bulky!! Lol it's horrendous
How many times do you guys have Snacks?
Princess of Pink
February 23rd, 2013, 01:27 AM
I kind of just snack all day. I have a big breakfast and then eat every 2 hours or so. My breakfast is either banana, berry and protein powder pancakes with Greek yoghurt or bacon and eggs on a cruskit with avocado or coconut yoghurt with this seed and goji berry mix in it. First snack is usually poppy seed and sea salt corn chips with chive and onion cream cheese dip. Then fruit and nuts. Then a little left over dinner in snack size (lunch). Then cheese and crackers. Then meat and veg. Then gym. Then protein shake with banana and berries blended in. Then bed.

I am not sure what you mean Afy but I'm sure the experienced women will know. I have a question about DTD too. So I get to sway boy we want to DTD every 2-4 days. We started doing this in mid January (before we were usually once a week people due to crazy schedules but we are happy that we are making a point to do it more!) and our first attempt is in mid March. Atomic told me it takes 70ish days for sperm to be created so does that mean his sperm won't increase until after the 70 days?
I am so full of the craziest questions, I'm sorry. Hopefully one day I can be helpful to another woman!

Afy you get AF in early May, as soon as bleeding stops start DTD every second day until you get a positive opk then do evening, morning, evening to get lots of swimmers up there. And repeat after each AF until you get a BFP.

From what i have read if DH ejaculates inside you he produces more sperm, and if it is regularly even more. I think its a primal thing like if a man masturbates all the time he wont be producing optimal numbers because his body knows it is just getting wasted. I *think* oral sex counts as inside. Something about the hormones too. I read on here somewhere that often one-night stands and mothers not in relationships have girls. Some survival thingie......so if he does it inside, your body thinks you are in a stable relationship and slightly sways boy. God knows if there is any truth in that but its worth a shot!!

If DH starts taking sups of any kind or starts releasing every 2-4 days and he wasn't before.....you need to wait 70 days from the first sups or start of 2-4 day release before you start seeing an increase in sperm count!

What I would recommend is reading the TTC a boy library sticky. There is SO much information on there. I have to keep rereading it. I am not as knowledgeable as others but I think the idea of this diet is High Everything so as many nutrients as you can get. When I conceived my DD, I was eating low calorie/fat, drinking diet coke, and running like a mad woman. Now I'm eating high everything (it's hard sometimes!), lifting weights, and cut out the diet. I'm taking supplements and drinking a lot of the drinks too (coconut water, V8, lemon water, and gelatin).
Princess of Pink

The body is a strange but amazing thing. Often what we put in our body has the completely opposite effect. Some very acidic foods actually have an alkali zing effect on the body (like the lemon you are drinking). Read the boy swaying library from start to finish to try and understand the theory behind the diet! Welcome and goodluck!

Well, the acid/alkaline diet is actually a myth that doesn't really work. Acid/Alkaline Theory of Disease Is Nonsense (http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/DSH/coral2.html)
The real reason why swaying works is because a diet high in nutrients and a mother who is in good physical condition and has high testosterone, supports the conception and survival of baby boys. Nothing to do with the pH of the foods you eat whatsoever. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/12340-understanding-trivers-willard-hypothesis.html

You continue taking sups until your BFP....then continue taking your prenatal, Vitamin D (1000IU is safe to take during pregnancy and may help prevent preeclampsia) and folic (continue the high dose throughout the first trimester and then gradually wean off over 2-3 weeks to the amount in your prenatal). Switch from the fish oil at BFP to DHA Sups (Take 2 a day until the first box is gone, then 2 one day/1 the next until the second box is gone, then 1 a day for the rest of your pregnancy). CoQ10 - gradually wean off over 2-3 weeks (same for anything else you're taking).

Does anyone use gelatin? I'm using it for the first time because I like the idea of raising testosterone. Does it have to be taken three times a day or can it be two? It's pretty expensive.

I only drank gelatin once a day. I mixed it with ACV and pineapple juice and chugged it. Don't let it sit too long, because it gets thick an nasty!

I'm glad to hear it's still effective once a day. DH doesn't know about swaying and I felt weird hiding all the gelatin from him, haha. I'm close to breaking down and telling him.

OMg I know exactly how you feel! I feel so bad I have to hide the gelatin too, I'm so tempted to tell him but just don't know how to. although he has realised I'm eating " alot" according to him..
Yep the gelatin stuff urgh is by far the worst part of my sway.. I try a spoon and mix it all up and just chug the whole thing down, the big un dissolved pieces you get whilst drinking it make me shiver!!! I mix it in v-8!

Can I join in? I am ttc hopefully a boy after having 3 daughters. I have poor fertility (2 ectopic pregnancies and 1 m/c) so now only have 1 dodgy tube left. It did work last time and DD3 is a result of that. I know I am in for the long haul as it took 2years to conceive her and we have not been preventing for a year now with no luck yet. I didn't realise how much swaying can be done so am going to try some different things. Although my cycle has been back for 16months I have only recently weaned my last bub so I am hoping this helps me get pregnant too.

Good luck for a speedy BFP Ollynem.
Well done to you girls doing the gelatin, ACV & even the V8 drinks that was a step further then I was willing to go to get my son. I think I could have stomached a big steak after being veggie for 22 years rather than drink any of them ( and my body does strange things when I eat red meat -mild allergy is reason for being Veggie). I still got my boy

If I don't get pregnant this cycle, I think I'm going to tell him. I'm surprised he hasn't really questioned me yet. Suddenly I'm lifting weights, drinking protein shakes, and eating much more! Plus, even though I am working out so much, I don't feel like I look like I'm in better shape. The things women do, haha!

I agree.I'm doing he diet as best I can, plenty of red meat, sodium and loads of potassium, v8, juice, less caffeine and aspartame and alcohol (notice I say less lol), supplements inc fertile cm, but for some reason can't bring myself to do the drinks lol. Fell off the wagon a little with diet and dropped exercise Esp weights but I'm cycle day 2 and about to go work out now (yoga) and I will lift at nights with hubby. He knows I sway and does what I tell him to do so he can get his boy as well. :-) I haven't told him he gets to dtd every 2-3 days this month plus the 3 attempts after +opk. He won't know how to act lol! It's time to get serious! Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the welcomes. I am only knew to swaying just learning more about it now. My DH struggles to DTD more then every 48hours unless he hasn't had it for a while. I don't know what to do about that in regards to frequency. We know he has a low count but I have been pregnant to him 5times so its not to the point where I fail to get pregnant. Our biggest fertility battle is the fact I only have one tube left which is damaged but I can't help but think DH is always going to favour girls with a low count. The only way DH could do it 3 times in 24hours is if he has not had it for over a week so I don't know how to go about that. Any advice? I was thinking abstain for a week and when I get a + OPT DTD 3times over 1-2days. Plus the diet of course.

Lol tell me about it.. DH has said I look more chunky ie muscular.. And he even says to me why you eating so much! If only I could bring myself to tell him but he's such a darling he's never the one for wanting any gender more than the other.. We've have been DTD every 2-4 days regularly way before I knew about swaying so that's not hard for us at all.. I just don't know how I'd tell him when it comes to my fertile window time lol although he wouldn't mind he's just think she's lost it lol ..

You dont have to do that timing method if its not going to suit your lifestyle or DHs patterns. Every 48 hours or even a bit longer the whole way through your cycle is fine too. That way you are getting good quality fresh sperm which is what you want for a boy sway.

How long have you been on the diet kikical?
I've been on the diet since January 1st but I made a lot changes the first month. How about you? We didn't start the supplements right away so dh hasn't been taking the ones to help his sperm over 70 days. I would kind of like to conceive in April because of that but I'd like to get off the diet because I don't like feeling bigger. I'm hoping it doesn't take longer than 3 months!! It took 3 with dd and 2 with a miscarriage. Is your dh taking supplements? Mine thinks I went on a health kick and I've said it helps getting pregnant so he only thinks I'm a little crazy right now, haha.

LOL kikical can't believe how were in similar positions right now! Mine thinks the same I'm being healthy, but then he says why you over eating because he sees me snacking alot and I'm like they are healthy snacks!!
Lol I told him the same getting my body ready for pregnancy and I said I'm not worried about losing anywy as there's no point if I do fall pregnant.
He thinks I'm going over the top!
DH only takes Men's one a day 50+, and he drinks green tea every night and has a fairly boyish diet, no smoking or drinking for either of us but again doesn't mean it will work in favour of us. Ahhh we shall see hey, I'm at the point now where I just want to be pregnant and have a little baba again!
How about you, is DH ok with supps? I was encouraging mine to take fish oil but he gets freaked out because he thinks he's "overdosing" on vitamins, the worst thing was when he seen my little pharmacy drawer lol full of vitamins!
Yes me too I'm going for April attempt aswell just incase I don't get preggers right away.

DH has dry skin and I told him the fish oil would help so he was all about it. I feel a little bad about deceiving him but he really wants a boy so he'll appreciate it if the next one is a boy. I know he would be happy with a girl too but he such a man's man that I know he would be sad to not have that bond. I can kind of understand because I really wanted a DD and would have been upset if I didn't have mine.
I just weighed myself and was not too happy with the results. I thought I had been eating pretty healthy even though it was a lot of calories. I gained a lot with my first pregnancy and lost it all so I don't want to gain a lot again. The HE diet is making me realize how body conscious I am. I had not idea!! I need to think the way you are thinking but I am nervous it will take me a few months to get pregnant and by then I'll be huge, haha!

No time of day is not a sway factor. We believe that lots of fresh sperm = boys. So when you are ovulating you really want to have about 3 tries to get as much fresh sperm as you can. Leading up to your ovulation it helps the quality of the sperm if your DH empties every 2 - 3 days.
