I know if you ovulate on a full moon it sways boy, new moon girl. But what if you either ovulate the day before a full moon or the DAY of a full moon. Does that sway boy or girl? Does it have to be the night of the full moon to sway boy?

Inquiring minds would like to know :D

I ovulated the day of a full moon with my first son and the day before a full moon with my second son. But I don't believe the moon sways.........

Neither do I, but I was discussing full moons and the theory of gender and they asked this question because I ovulated either the night before or the day of, and I didn't have the answer. Wasn't sure when the moon change actually happens for the theory to be "accurate".

The theory as I understand it is what you ovulate closest to, not that you have to release an egg in the same few hours that the moon is at its fullest or newest (the moon isn't always at its fullest at night, either). If you have ovulated within 2-3 days of the full moon, that will sway boy according to the theory. If it's within 2-3 days of the new moon, it sways girl.

This is not a hard and fast scientific theory that has a well-defined definition. It's definitely more along the lines of an Old Wives' Tale with a lot of variation depending on who you ask. So your question is a lot like asking, "Where under the bed do I need to put the baby clothes to best sway for my dg?" It's great to take it into account for fun, but please don't put too much stock into it.

I ovulated within a few days of a new moon with this one- but it's another little boy.

Does not work. Supernatural sway tactics are phony. Moonlight may sway slightly and explanation is in the link ELP posted.

I believe that it is the amount of moonlight and not any sudden change from ions or whathaveyou.
