Hi,

So I have been thinking about this and need some advice please.

I hope this makes sense, it sort of does to me, but there is a lot of information.

I have asked my doctor for Clomid, but am not sure if I will be able to get it.

We originally wanted to have our 1st attempt in April. Going from my previous cycle and that really does not mean a lot as I have very irregular cycles I would ovulate around 1st April (without Clomid), which would give me 8 weeks on the LE diet. I think April is also the Peak month for the girl season.

If I get Clomid, and if it does bring ovulation forward as it should, having looked at the Clomid calculator I should ovulate:

20/03 and 25/03, which would only give me 6 weeks on the diet, but still in girl season and gives us another month in girl season, should we be unsuccessful with our 1st attempt.
26/04 and 01/05, which would give me 11 weeks on the diet, but almost out of girl season and certainly out of girl season, should we not fall pregnant the first month.

So what month would you think is best for our 1st attempt?

I would like to take Vitex AF-AF the month before our attempt, so I sort of need to make a decision if I keep taking it this month and go for the March attempt if I get it or just take Vitex CD1-14 this cycle and do AF-AF next cycle.

We are hoping to include a few minor bits in our 1st attempt and see how we go, but would drop them if unsuccessful the 1st month as I realise you should try to get pregnant asap on Clomid.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I would think that the clomid and diet would sway waaay more than the season. and I could be wrong but I thought you couldn't take vitex with clomid.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear enough. I was hoping to take the Vitex AF-AF the cycle before Clomid as suggested by Atomic. As soon as I'd start the Clomid, I'd stop the Vitex.

So you'd think go for the later attempt to give me an extra 5 weeks on the diet?

6 weeks on the diet is plenty and I think having the seasons working for you is never a bad thing. I'd go for an earlier attempt.

People are taking those stats on diet too seriously. Not everyone needs to do a kazillion weeks on diet. 6 weeks is PLENTY. People are going to screw up their ovulation royally trying to do diet for too long prior to TTC.

You may very well not even get pg that first month on Clomid, and so by the time the next cycle rolls around you'd be at 10 weeks on diet anyway.

Thanks, Atomic. Helpful as ever and making lots of sense. :agree:
