Hi Ladies! just came across this site today... i went to my long awaited anatomy ultrasound and was so dissapointed. The tech was very serious and cold and just said I would hear results in a week or two. As far as gender i was so anxious to hear and he even forgot to check :-( when he was done i shyly asked what about if its a boy or girl... He showed me a shot and said i think girl but i cant guarantee.. I was just expecting someone warmer with a better attitude. well he said baby was moving too much and he was able to get just this shot any body think girl also? Thanks in advance!

I think that is a girl. Sorry that your tech was a grump, I had one of those at my 12 week scan. I asked her to check gender and eventhough it was early I said any nub shots would be appreciated. She refused to even look and said I would have to wait until later on. I ended up getting confirmation at a different place 5 weeks later.

Yes, looks like a girl. Such a shame you had an awful tech.

Thank you for your reply. You would think these techs would be more sensitive in this type of field. I mean of course babies health is most important but we mommies are so anxious to hear gender too!

I'm so sorry you had to endure that harsh treatment. I went through that a few weeks back. The tech told me that the baby was not in the best position and her 3 sec quick view guess that it is a girl. I swear my nub shot back then looked just like a boy. Everything has leaned towards boy. I am going to get a 4D scan next week. I guess you have to pay to get what you really want to see. I hope you hear Blue!!!

Thanks so much for the replies. Made me feel better after my appt. I guess I should of mentioned I am hoping for a baby girl :-) I have 2 boys ages 8 and 2. I was disappointed that I didn't get a for sure answer and some better pics. I will be making a appt at a 3d/4d place close by so I can get a better confirmation. Thanks again ladies for your replies! I do hope this is my baby girl!

Happy to hear that I am not the only one with a grump tech also. I had the same one for a scan at both 17 and 23 weeks and both times said it was too hard! My pics look like yours and it is a girl, congrats hun xo

Girl...i wonder sometimes why we give the medical profession a pass when it comes to rudeness. We would not accept that talk or treatment from a waiter or bank teller.
I remember i had an emergency scan last month in the er. The tech made sure to tell me i wasnt seeing the screen i wasnt getting pictures this wasnt playtime to find out the sex. I already knew the sex.
I started crying throughout the scan and then she kinda pitied me and said i will say your baby is alive...argh.

Sorry went off on a tangent there
