so a few months ago i saw a bump that looks like a pimple on my gum above a a root canaled tooth it was painless and i am very busy between my boys so i left it and left it... so i finally google it (never google!!!!!) and it scared me shitless apparently its an abscess and it can kill me!!! it can spread to the brain or cause sepsis!! very scary, so i call the dentist and i am getting seen tomorrow morning to at least get antibiotics and im guessin im gonna lose my two front teeth at the age of 25 :S how does this happen it says from bad hygeine i i brush my teeth two times a day!!!

anyways im crazy and i usually will refuse meds during pregnancy but clearly i really need it... i am allergic to amoxicillian and penicillin what can i take? i will be 10 weeks tomorrow... i knwo that the infection is obviously worse than the antibiotics

on another note does infection sway at all? since i would have had it for a few months leading up to getting preg?

thanks

there are many antibotics very safe in pregnancy some people have to take many rounds secondly if you have a absecess they can be very painful but they rarely cause brain or blood poisoning I have had several the worst thing is the pain I hope u don`t have to losse you tooth I had to last pregnancy and that was fine as well for me and baby so don`t panic too much hun xx

I actually don't have pain cause it's on a root canal tooth apparently it was not done properly 13 years ago... I went to the dentist saturday and she wouldn't do anything she wouldn't even give me antibiotics she reffeed me to a specialist that I don't see til next tuesday... So it feels like I'm some crazy person after narcotics loon one would give it to me the specialist wouldnt til my appt... Finally my GP gave me clmydician yay... Going to get it tonight... I would imagine the infectin being worse for the baby then the antibiotic right

Why would dentists let me walk around with a huge infection? Isn't that crazy and like neglecting me? Mouth infections can cause misscarriage
