JUst wondering if anyone can help me.. I have just found out I have low iron and have only just cut out red meat. I haven't started the LE diet and won't be for another few months. Is there anything I can do to kepp my iron levels up and keep protein down, or is low iron more favourable for girl sway? Just worried seeing as I'm not TTC for 4-5 months. Thanks!

While you want all your nutrients on the low side when you sway, you don't want them to be dangerously low. I would take an iron supplement during the time that you aren't on the LE diet yet. One that is 100% RDA and only take it every other day or 3 times a week (whichever way is easier for you to remember). Something else you could do to keep your iron level up is cook with cast iron pans.

I would take an elemental iron supp (easier for your body to use and will not upset yoru stomach) like Bifera or Feosol 18-30 mg (or so, there's some variation in dose, I think some go up to 60) every day for a month, then switch to every 3 days.

I would stay well away from the adrenal complex supps - I'm not convinced they are safe at all and esp. not when TTC. DHEA raises T levels and would sway blue and low DHEA may help a pink sway.

If you didn't know, they are ground up adrenal glands from slaughtered animals...
