View Full Version : Is this even a sway?

Hi all, I am fairly new here and I have never posted ... have spent the last 3 or so months lurking around and trying to absorb as much information as possible. I have 3 boys and would love a girl ... not even sure that we are going to try yet but we have been talking about it since November.

I have tried to incorporate some of the changes - here is what I have done so far ... what I would like to know is, is this even a sway - or have I not nearly done enough to be considered a sway.

I have been taking Vitex and folic acid since November. I have tried to be on the LE diet - I skip breakfast, drink coffee, only have 2 meals mostly per day, I also drink coke zero (not sure if this is allowed I see diet coke references on here). Cut out meat (since Nov, had a bit over xmas and then cut out again in Jan) and reduced salt in that I don't use it in cooking at all and I don't eat foods that I know are considered salty. I have tried to cut out most nutritious foods and have focused mainly on pasta and rice. I exercise 3 times a week (started in September) and have lost a few kilos since November when I started cutting things out. I was taking calcuim and magnesium supplements (but have stopped that as I am so confused about to take them or not). Also have been taking the baby asprin (or reduced dose) every couple of days. I also have been drinking peppermint tea everyday and occassionally have cranberry juice diluated with water.

I changed my deodorant to a natural lavendar based one and use lavendar body wash and wear rose quartz on some days.

I used to eat a very high protein low carbs diet ... and have switched this around completely.

My plan would be if we DTD - to take Zyrtec and use cut off method and Sylk. I have been considering Rephresh and ph testing as well recently.

I am pretty low in energy most days. I have noticed that I have hardly any CM these days (whereas previously heaps) and my skin is horrible (break outs and wont heal properly afterwards - I suspect because of lack of nutrients).

In reviewing the boy threads my previous pregnancies were all classic boy sways (although I didn't realise it at the time). I wasn't exercising at all when I feel pregnant with each of the boys and for different reasons put on weight before I got pregnant with each of them.

Would this be enough to be even considered a sway and is there anything else I should be adding to make a big difference?

Hi there, I have three boys and have successfully swayed girl this time.

Are you doing Vitex only AF to O or are you taking it continuously? I think represh or acijel has better success with sway pink then sylk. If you do a cut off, make sure your DH is releasing everyday to reduce sperm count. I think people are encouraged not to exercise while ttc pink, however I've never been able to lose weight without exercising (perhaps as I have pcos) so maybe check that the exercise is helping your sway. I think it depends on individuals. Yes, stay off the calcium and magnesium supps as they are nutrients and could send your body the message that it is well nourished and this sway boy. That's about all I can think of right now, looking at your sway. Goodluck if you do attempt a sway and I think your sway is quite good.

Thanks Violet_ for responding. When I first started taking the supplements I was taking Vitex all the way through and then I kept reading how it should only be taken AF-O - so now I only take through to O. In relation to the exercise, I didn't exercise at all with the boys, and do my reasoning is that if I can continue to exercise and have a different environment to when i conceived the boys that may help - I don't know on the exercise - I am torn on that one.
I think I will try to incorporate the Rephresh. I just don't know if I am doing enough ... I'm thinking of going hard core for the next month and then trying. I am pushing 40 and so time is running out anyway :-(

Yes, I think that's a good sway and while I would have you exercise 6-7 days a week, the rest looks great! Violet already discussed the jellies - while I think RepHresh is the most effective, they all do sway pink and are largely a matter of personal taste.

The only downside with Coke zero vs. diet coke is that in some countries Coke Zero has ginseng, which I do not believe is safe for women to take when TTC. It may inhibit cell division - not what you want when you're carrying a rapidly dividing ball of baby cells. :)

Thank you Atomic Sagebrush ... I was considering trying O+12 this month, as I have not yet O'd, my cycle length varies from month to month and do not yet have the positive on opk. Should I be using Rephresh longer before I consider DTD? If I started exercising 6-7 times a week - how long would I need to keep that up for before DTD?

I do not believe timing sways in any way and I really advise against O+12, the preg. rates have been very low.

RepHresh works as soon as right away, the only reason some people use it before is just in case and also to give your body a chance to get used to it.

The exercise varies for everyone unfortunately - you need to have time to allow your muscle mass to shrink enough to lower testosterone. I would give it at least 6 weeks.
