So I have been posting like a psycho lately because our first attempt is in about 24 days. I have been following the HE diet but I seem to cheat every few days. We've gotten Chinese (which is highly processed) a few times, lately I ate some milk chocolate and candy, and I was still drinking diet coke until recently (which is horrible I know). I'm eating a ton of nuts, cereal, and trying to eat carbs and protein at every meal. I am not a big red meat eater but I plan on picking it up the next few weeks. I've been trying to eat a lot of bananas and potatoes too. Plus everyday I drink a V8 and lots of lemon water.
I've been lifting weights 25 minutes a day 3X a week but was going to try for 35 min. 4X a week for the next few weeks
I'm taking prenatal, folic acid, B12, C, and fish oil. DH is taking multi, l'arginine, fish oil, C, and B6. I took EPO af to O this month to see what it did and it seemed to improve cm. I plan on doing BSF as well.
I feel like everything I am doing is not good enough and I'm very nervous. I really don't want to gain weight (I actually would like to lose 8 pounds I gained at the end of 2012) and I think that is affecting my view on everything and increasing my doubt. That and the fact that I can't make it through a week without cheating a few times on the diet.
Does anyone else have these feelings of self doubt? I think it is hard for me as well because no one knows I'm swaying, not even dh (he thinks the vitamins are for health purposes only) so I have no outlet and except for the internet for all my feelings and doubts!! Thanks in advance if you took the time to read this!!

Yep I think we all question ourselves. Why else would we all be on here posting with questions, concerns, and generally sharing. Plus it's not a perfect science, no black and white so there's no pass or fail, no good or bad. There's this huge spectrum and we're all just doing what we can. So, YES, I'm so nervous! I am in 2WW. So what's done is done for this cycle. :nails:

What are the main factors of your sway and how long have you been swaying?

Hi, I think from what u've written above ur sway sounds great. When I was ttc ds I wasn't swaying but I do remember I ate what I wanted when I wanted. I was rarely hungry as I was eating and snacking all the time. Oh and I ate lots of Chinese, takeaways and a TON of chocolate and candy lol!

Your sway sounds good to me. I have 3 boys and that is how I ate with them. The only thing I would change is the Diet Coke. I hate artificial sweeteners so have never used them so that is an adjustment for me now to make myself drink Diet Coke or Crystal Light...

I would 100% cut out the diet coke now and stay away from it until after you have your baby (apparently it can cause miscarriage). I would also cut the BSF and use preseed instead.
What sups are you taking?

Yes yes and YES! I am swaying pink but I have my cheats too and worry that I'm just doomed to be a boy mom for life no matter what I do. It seems the closer I get to my sway the more I'm doubting myself and my sway. On paper though, my sway overall is very good and I'm ttc pink in the months where statistically more girls are conceived than boys. My cycles are wonky and I'm probably going to ovulate right around the full moon. I have been taking my supplements and have rephresh and aci jel ready to go. So, when I think about it now...the conditions I've set up give me a really really good shot at pink. If I don't try...well, there's not a whole lot more I could realistically do to get a girl so I think I have to go for it and try to put my fear aside and believe in myself and my dream of having a daughter and my sway efforts. The same is probably true in your case too. You're doing all you can do to sway your little heart out. *Your* odds of blue are better when swaying vs doing nothing so try to find some comfort in that maybe?
I'm sending you plenty of blue dust. Please take it! I sure don't need any of that stuff right now. :)

Thanks everyone! I will definitely stay away from diet coke. I drank one a day when I got pregnant with DD so I'll try anything different. Babygirl4me, thanks for the blue dust!! I will send you all my pink dust!! It's no surprise I had a girl now that I know about swaying. I was all cardio, low calories, and a diet coke fanatic!
Princess of Pink, I'm taking a multi, fish oil, folic acid, B12, and vit C. Dh is taking a multi, l'arginine, b12, fish oil, and C. I'm taking dpo from AF-O
Why do you say no BSF? I've heard it could sry up cm.

Your sway looks great, and i agree no more diet coke. The BSF can kill sperm in your vagina which is not good for boy swaying, preseed or nothing at all (well just your natural ewcm) is much better for the little guys in there.

atomic recommends you don't do BSF...heaps of the ladies ttc here have been getting BFN's with BSF and finally got a BFP when they stopped using it. I know I used it for 3 of my attempt months last year and got BFN's. Preseed is much better!

I think you are doing pretty well, but I agree, no diet coke! I don't think a few cheats will hurt, but I do think the diet is extremely important, so if you can make sure you stick to it as close as possible, that will probably help. Dark chocolate is supposedly okay ( I never ate any, but I don't like it). Try to up your protein. If you don't want to eat a lot of meat, try eggs. Also, I ate a TON of beef jerky--still meat, I know, but maybe you'd like it better than a steak.
I did use BSF, but only once per attempt, an hour before BD. I TTC for 3 months, and got my BFP on the 3rd try, and the two prior months, I had used much more BS before each attempt, and used it several times a day--so cutting back on it may have helped?
Also, definitely use preseed. I think that stuff is amazing!
All of us question our sways. It's impossible not to, since it isn't an exact science, and we don't know exactly what will work for each of us.

Oooh good to know. Sorry one last question. What about the Baking Soda drink, is that okay? I'm not testing ph because dh had a fit when I bought opk's so he would really not like these. We conceived dd naturally and fairly quickly so he sees no need to change things. Little does he know, I am doing a lot of this for him! I've been drinking lemon water and ACV since January 1 so I'm hoping that is enough.

You can look at my sway in the boy sway section....it was a year ago so I am starting to forget things, but yes, I did the BS drink. I did it once a day. I did ASG 2x a day, lemon water all day, ACV mixed with pineapple juice and gelatin once a day, V8 mixed with nutritional yeast once a day, and I think that's it? I can't remember very well. Lots of ladies had luck with coconut water, and I would have drank that if it had been available in my area at the time.

I dont think BS drink is necessary but if you feel like you must have it then only for the 5 days leading up to O.

Sorry ladies just having a read what is ACV?
I mix up beef gelatin with v8 and I do drink quite abit of zico coconut water..
Don't worry I feel like that ALL the time sometimes I just cheat a little to make myself feel a little better because I think if I stick to it hardcore and don't get that desired gender it would sting me a little more lol..

That is TOTALLY normal and esp. for blue swayers.
Chinese food and milk chocolate/candy are NOT CHEATS. Those are fine. Just because pink swayers do some things (like milk choc rather than dark choc) does NOT mean that blue swayers CAN'T. Eating candy with protein is fine, you should not eat it alone unless you are going to be eating again very soon, otherwise your blood sugar will crash.
You don't have to gain weight unless you feel that you are underweight. The lifting weights will help with that, and/or you can add 45 min or under of cardio exercise (do not do more than 45 min of straight exercise when TTC a boy) to help burn off some cals.
I'd personally not have you do the BSF, I think we're seeing great results with Preseed in lieu of BSF and people are getting pg much faster.

Lemon water in green tea is fine. I don't include the ACV in the sway plans because there is conflicting info about how it may sway (it may lower blood sugar - now on an HE Diet I doubt it matters becasue you eat so much, but I don't count on everyone really doing HE Diet), and also because there's already SO MUCH to drink that you don't need to do everything.

I personally do not love the baking soda drinks and would be happy if no one ever used them. If you MUST the directions on how to do it safely are here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-boy-best-practices/1444-baking-soda-basics.html

Well I've been doing acv for awhile now but I will definitely stop if it doesn't sway boy. I'm glad to hear that information! I'm drinking lots of lemon water and V8. Should I add another drink? I do have green tea that I can start drinking again. I'm also drinking a protein shake every day.

Protein shakes a brilliant! Especily with fruits and natural forms of protein is what AS advices in comparison to the protein powders that are used however its still entirely upto you!

We don't really KNOW that it doesn't sway blue (and tons of people have gotten boys while using it), it's that there is some info that indicates it may lower blood sugar levels. If you were eating a lot of food all day it wouldn't matter, but some people can't/won't eat much or are doing some of the IG-style meals like Rice Krispies with non-dairy creamer that are awful for blood sugar to begin with. It's the combo of NOT doing HE-style diet PLUS the ACV that is the prob.
If you're keepign your blood sugar up with good diet, the ACV is fine, if you really believe in it and aren't already stuffed to the gills from drinking other stuff. If you're not eating good or else you just can't swallow another thing, give ACV a pass.
I hope that makes sense, I know confusing, right?? :p
Green tea is good for blue.

Where do you find the natural protein? I've been using dh's protein shakes because he always drinks them but I've been adding berries.

Full fat yogurt, whole milk, and whole raw eggs/egg whites are best. Eggs may be contaminated with salmonella so not your best bet unless you have your own hens.
A bit more work but still a good source of protein is the white bean puree you can find here: The Sneaky Chef: Free Healthy Recipe for White Bean Puree from Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids' Favorite Meals (http://www.thesneakychef.com/free_recipe_white_bean_puree.php) I have not tried this in a smoothy so I'm not sure how the taste would be.
Whey protein and tofu and nut milk, is second best.
Soy milk third best
the kind of shakes made with soy powder protein are the least good.
