This is my one and only sway at ttc a girl. I wondered if people who have swayed and failed wouldn't might sharing what they think the reason may have been (if any) to help those of us currently swaying. Obviously I understand that sometimes you do everything you can and still don't get your DG, I'm just really interested in what people would do differently if given another chance. Thanks in advance for any replies

Good question! I failed at my sway for a girl. I used purely the shettles method - did frequent BD every day from AF to four days before o (four day cut-off). I am doing the opposite this time with abstain and bd/tbm day before o, and maybe will do day of o as well. But just once or twice as I think the build up of sperm (in the vagina after repeated bd) gives the boy ones an advantage. Also, i am doing sudafed to dry up some excess ewcm (i seem to produce a bit) and diet and supps. I am hoping this will be enough! Not that i regret having my DS in the end - he is just the light of my life! ;)

i have swayed 3 times for a girl....
the first time i did the french gender diet for months and was eating no white flour because i thought at the time thats what it said and no sweets of any kind. i lost 11 pounds which is a ton for me. and i got my girl.
with my next baby after her i was going to do the same thing i did with her but i got pregnant the first month and was only on the diet for maybe a month.
with my last baby i was only the ingender diet for months. i had got pregnant and was doing everything (strict diet, lime, lots of bd, cut off) but had a m/c and then gave up on the lime and bd on ovulation day. i was cheating here and there on the diet but i think the main thing was that i wasn't losing weight and i was eating late at night before bd.

I have to say I have no idea whatsoever why it didn't worked for me...everyone thought I will get a boy for sure. ( not me of course)
I did everything right even MSU . There was no full moon but please...to say I didn't get a boy because of the full moon was missing it's ridiculous. And I don't believe it for sure.
So really wth Im doing here ttc again? don't know...I will ttc in Oct. IF...maybe I change my mind.not sure

i really didn't do anything besides that. i did the french gender diet and took supplements. i didn't know about ingender at the time and was just doing what everyone was doing on fertilityfriend. i started the diet and supplements when my second son was 4 months old. i got pregnant when he was 10 months and had a m/c at 6 weeks and then got pregnant with my daughter the month he turned 1 year. i was taking calcium, magnesium, b-6, b-complex, a prenatal vitamin, lot's of cranberry pills, and vitex. i then stopped the vitex and did 160 mg of soy the month i got pregnant with her. we bd 3 days in a row and i think only had a 1 day cut off if that. my dh never did the diet and eats/drinks the same as he always has. i still ate breakfast and a late night snack like i always did. i ate a lot of yogurt and drank a lot of cranberry juice. i was eating a peanut butter sandwich every day for lunch with milk. i ate a lot of green beans and peas with noodles with homemade alfredo sauce. i ate mashed potatoes every now and then because the diet allowed it. i don't think i really had that great of a sway to be honest. it makes me think that what we do doesn't really matter and we get what we get. i really feel like my sway with my last boy was better. i think what i had working for me was the high amount of calcium, losing weight, and i got pregnant with her durning a new moon (the only one of all my children).

Thanks for the reply, the more and more i read about it im convinced that timing dosent matter! If i dont get my bfp this month then will continue with diet, supps sct and just dtd when i feel like it next month, its becoming such a chore i dont want it to be a strain and take the fun out of it!! Dh knows why i want it all the time instead of being more spontaneous lol

I wanted a boy with DS 1 and had no gender pref. with DS 2 (but they were both cutoffs, I believe.)
I used just timing with DS 3 (I had never really heard of swaying then and it never occured to me to look it up online.) I did everything totally "wrong" with him. Honestly, it was probably the finest blue sway EVER!!!
With DS 4, I know exactly what I would do differently...even though I had done a ton of research I still wanted to hedge my bets and try to encorporate the FGD minerals into my sway, so I took megadoses of cal, mag, B6, and Vit. D - wouldn't do any of that if I swayed pink again. I also took a prenatal and DHA supp because I was worried aobut the baby's health (evne though I don't really regret that because I do have a healthy baby) Even though I lost weight, I was on a swaying break the month I got pg and had eaten a few breakfasts, some salt, gained some weight back thinking I could lose it again, I didn't take an antihistamine or J and D or anything. IT's really annoying because my husband was actually pretty girl-friendly because he had gained some weight and drinking more beer than normal.
I was also getting into arguments every day on IG and was superobsessed with swaying and thinking about it 24-7. I think that is one of the main reasons why sways fail, I have seen it happen about a bazillion times with pink swayers, the people who are the most into it are the ones whose sways fail time after time.
One interesting thing I will share with you and maybe it will help, is that I noticed that even after I had lost weight to TTC DS 4, I still was packing a lot of muscle mass. Then I gained TONS of weight when I was pg (long story but I had two placentas which gave me almost like gestational diabetes even though I didn't actually have it, but I still gained a lot.) Now that I've lost almost all the baby weight, I find that I have lost a lot more muscle than I did the first time through and my fat is distributed very differently than it has ever been in my life. I am actually really curious to see what would happen if I got pg but that is not going to happen!!
~IF~ you lose weight to TTC pink and find that you still have a lot of muscle, and it is your one and only shot, it ~may~ be something to consider to stop what you're doing, even postpone for a year if you have to, and gain weight back again only to lose it again. This is dangerous because it wreaks havoc with your body and it may backfire by raising testosterone, but just sharing what I noticed. I would not even think about it unless you are willing to put TTC on hold for at least a year.

Flava, I TOTALLY agree about the moon. To even suggest such a thing is totally ridiculous.
If you don't like how your sway is going or if you change your mind, you can just decide not to do it! Easy as that. I really hope that whatever you decide, you have peace of mind with it! ♥

Of course NOT because of the full moon because I swayed for a boy and there was no full moon, BUT I was in the right season (winter) and used a lot of ions.
Also I know alot of girls who did sway in summer and also there was no fullmoon, but the got boys. Very crazy.

Thank you so much to everyone who has replied, I really do find it useful even if I may not change things anyway, it just really helps to remember there are NO guarantees!! I really am very happy to have another boy, I never wanted only two children so what will be will be in a way! I think my biggest issue is that I am quite obsessive so I think once I've settled on my sway I'm going to try and stay off here as much as possible until I get pregnant (going to be hard!!!!) but this might make me chill and just get on with it. Thanks again:wink:

I remembered another thing or 2...I never did any muscle building exercise .I was just sitting around getting fat on boy diet.:SS:
And my ph was always low. ( only went up with bsf)
Now I know for some ph is not important but for me it is. Especially if it's so low like mine under 4.5!
This time I try to build up some muscle ( Im 107 lbs now but all jelly soft no muscle at all!) and try really hard with the diet and all to get ph up.
So I hope it's going to help me.:luck:

If you can exercise an hour a day 6-7 days a week, I think that's the best sway of all but if you can only exercise a little it will raise your T levels and sway blue.

YES!!! But you have to do it for a FULL hour because you don't start burning fat/muscle until 45 minutes have gone by and you need to faithfully do it 6-7 days a week, while eating low protein and losing weight.

I think its the obsessing raises stress and testosterone levels, so good for blue as we need a bit of fight about our sways but the pink swayers need calm and tranquil and not to get worked up about things.

My failed sway was a pink sway so I was going off of that, I'm sorry for the confusion.
No, if anything it's GOOD when swaying blue. As long as you don't feel overwhelmed/defeated by the idea, because that is not good. For blue you want to feel in control and that you can take on swaying and WIN!!! This will help raise your testosterone.
It's just that on occasion, moms who tend to have a lot of boys naturallly tend to be kinda control freaks and competitive, and that is BAD for TTC pink because it can raise testosterone. So for women who tend towards that who are swaying pink, it's better for them to do their research and then let go of as much as they can in terms of feeling in control of their sway.
I hope that makes sense, sorry for the confusion!!!

With conceiving my boys I had been gaining weight, and eating a lot, thinking crap... I am going to get pregnant soon anyway, I'll just eat what I want (I love salt, so my food was always high in sodium). I have never tried exercising or tried to lose weight before. This will be my first time. I feel like it is working. I am loosing weight and I am losing it faster now that I have stopped breastfeeding (it is not sticking to my hips and stomach now. I can't wait to see how much I can lose on Chitosan. I am getting today, along with all my other supplements.), I have increased my exercise big time and I feel a lot calmer and almost like I don't even really care about things as much (strangely even about swaying. I am pretty competitive and can get worked up easily about things), and I have a lot less CM now than in the past. I have started to incorporate some of the girl foods yogurt, strawberries, Perrier water, more milk, eggs, and not salting my food (this has been the hardest), but I eat other stuff too. I won't go hardcore on the diet until about 6 weeks before I try, but I need to transition myself into not eating salt.
Atomic I am up to about 65 minutes of running and walking outside (tons of hills too. Running I am up to 30 minutes and the rest is fast walking). I also do Jillian Micheal's 30 day shred level 1, 2-3 times a week with no more than 3 to 5 lb weights. I am not sure if I really have great muscle tone to be honest. I can barely even do a girly push up. Should I stop the Jillian workout all together and just do the cardio? (I think Tamara had a link about the progesterone diet on her sway book and I think it said that long periods of exercise will help increase progesterone and on a side note so do walnuts...lol We had talked about eating walnuts for some Omega 3 on another post. I think I will eat these a few times a week unsalted.)
That is my experience too jj, since going on the girl diet 2 years ago now I am MUCH calmer and less likely to get into trouble than I used to be LOL. I walk away from things without a thought now that I never would have walked away from before.
In terms of the workout, if you are losing weight and eating a low protein diet, I would continue the workout at the level you are doing it.
