Have any of you tried using the Ovulite to track ovulation? I believe you can use it in lieu or in addition to the OPK sticks. I'm trying it out on my next cycle since we'll start TTC the following cycle. I read on another site that once you start to see ferning, that would be when you would cutoff to TTC a girl. Any thoughts/input?

Just got one myself but I've not used it yet...Heard it's pretty useful but I plan on using OPKs and charting my temp as well. My cycle is still crazy from breastfeeding so I need all the help I can get in deciphering it! I'm not sure how I'll use it along w/the cut-off yet...I want to see what happens along w/the charting and OPKs for one cycle to see how it'll work out for us.
Good luck with your sway!!!

I have one. It measures estrogen, and you have to know your cycle pretty well to use the ovulite for a cut-off. I got to full fern before I o'd by a day or two because I'm an estrogen monster!

I think to use an Ovulite to correctly pin a cutoff, you need to measure it for several months before doing it to see your pattern. I start to fern slightly for a couple days from cd6-about 8 then it stops for a day and starts again. My full fern day is actually 1 day prior to ovulation.

I think it is a great addition to swaying for either gender and interesting too!!!

I tried using it this week for the first time (since it was O time too) and I could see ferning only in the corner of the slide. Am I doing something wrong? I've been battling sinus crud all week and noticed in the directions that any kind of mouth/throat infection can throw off the results, so that's definitely something to keep in mind. Too bad we can't post slide pics on here for other's interpretation! :-P
