I've been taking Vitex for 5 months now. months 1-4 i took Vitex from AF stop right before O and i O on CD 17 or 18. Well this month 5 i took Vitex from AF to CD9 or 10 cause i ran out. Now i am on CD 14 look what i got today!

9161

So i notice stopping Vitex very early i O very early! Is that normal?

Sometimes people don't O until *after* they stop taking vitex. If you stopped taking it on CD9 that's probably going to cause you to O earlier than before if you were taking it up through CD14. I don't think it's abnormal to O earlier when stopping vitex earlier.

Not sure about that one, but based on the sways others have posted I don't believe timing sways much (if at all) and you're capable of conceiving either gender in any given cycle. So if you're wondering if you should have an attempt at +OPK even though it's happening a bit early for you, I'd say go for it as long as you feel comfortable with the rest of your sway. Good luck!!

Thanks butterfly spirit! your little girl is so adorable! I am thinking about BD in the early morning hours maybe trying to go for a O+12 . I used RePhresh last night and a little tonight after my shower BUT i am not on the diet very well just yet. So i might have to wait till another cycle :(

Thank you :HH:
With RepHresh I used it and then BD 8 hours later.. an entire tube. So two tubes the week of O. I think that is your best bet to shoot for a DD. But do what you feel is right in your heart. As far as Vitex, have you tried it before?

Thanks babygirl4 me. Does anyone know if earlier O sway girl?

There is a study on this forum somewhere that has stats on cycle length and B/G ratio. From what I remember shorter cycles tend to yield more girls (FWIW). Not sure how that changes things when taking supplements that can affect cycle length.

I don't know if this helps at all but I have always had short cycles, 4 weeks exactly. I would get AF every 4th saturday when I was TTC my girls. Since going on the HE diet and taking a bazillion boy sups my cycle is getting longer. Maybe a later O does sway boy and earlier girl??

Just thought I would share my experience. I was still breastfeeding my 15 month old (plus I have pcos so for me that meant longer cycles) when I conceived this baby and I was regularly ovulating between CD20 and CD22. I took Vitex for just the month that we got pregnant and I took it from CD5-CD13. Then I stopped it and felt things gearing up right away. I then ovulated on CD15 going by cervix position and my saliva ovulation tester that showed a partial ferning when I came off the vitex and full ferning pattern along with cramping pain on CD15. So it brought my cycle ahead a lot. As far as ultrasounds show so far, this baby is a girl.

Oh no!!!! My cycle is getting much longer bc of vitex!!!!!! That's just not at all what I wanted to hear. If you have long cycles on vitex, does that make it more likely that your sway will fail? :(

Yes, it's totally normal to O early while on Vitex. It's fine.

Weird cycles seem to sway pink, whether it's shorter or longer than you expected (exception is the long cycles caused by PCOS - PCOS sways blue.)

I Oed 2-3 days sooner than I expected to the month I dropped vitex - result, baby girl.

Both shorter than normal and longer than normal cycles can sway pink. It's NOT that the cycle length in and of itself sways in any way, it's that it can indicate lower/higher hormones that may be a side effect of a pink sway.

The only kind of long cycle that sways blue is that caused by PCOS. The kind of long cycles you get when swaying pink (from Vitex, SP, or diet/weight loss) are pink-friendly.

You can have the hormonal effects WITHOUT seeing any change in cycle at all.

I am on my first cycle of vitex and it has totally messed with my normal fertility signs... I had no ewcm, no positive opk, and yet it seems I O'd cd 17, which is a little earlier than normal for me.... so all of a sudden my body just popped out an egg with no warning! Haha

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure we missed it :( it would be a 2 day cutoff, which is highly unlikely for us...

Are you only taking it AF to O? Try coming off it a couple of days before you want to ovulate.

Violet for 4 months i took it from AF to O usually stop on CD15. Then this cycle i stopped at CD 9 or 10 because my new order haven't came in yet. But i noticed by doing that i O way earlier than the other months.
let me add this cycle I am so sick now during O nausea and headaches. i wonder if due it's due to hormones. I've never felt sick during O :(

Wow I love your chart though. That's one for the books! :)

Hope this is it for you, Charlee. :fx: 2 day cutoff is still quite high odds of pg - better than O day, believe it or not.

Yay! I am 3 for 3 on that list, and feeling great about my sway again. Thanks again Atomic
