TTC pink here,
Am in town and have a shocking cold. Have been sticking it out for a week with no meds, couldn't sleep at all last night and lost my voice. Is there anything I can take? Cold and flu tablets? Night time cold and flu? Sudafed? I o today.

I was taking Sudafed when I "surprisingly" fell pregnant with this LO (girl) - I wasnt ttc though so a little different but I had been taking sudafed for a sinus infection for a week or so and again a few times when I would have been "very newly" pregnant. Not sure it answers your question but I know I worried about having it once I found out I was pregnant so researched and it appears the plain sudafed is ok just not the PE one (of course that was the one I was taking..) x

Haha yes that's the one I took 2 days ago way before o. I might get the other one for today and just take one before bed. It's just sleeping that I can't tough it out for any longer. I can suck it up during the day.

Thanks so much!

Sorry I am late to answer this but for anyone else wondering, Sudafed with just pseudoephedrine should be ok for a sway, and was once said to be fine during pg but there is some new info about this which gives me pause. How Safe is Sudafed (Pseudoephedrine) During Pregnancy? | BabyMed.com (http://www.babymed.com/pregnancy-safety/how-safe-sudafed-pseudoephedrine-during-pregnancy). And on "what to expect" site I saw it listed as a no-no because it can restrict blood flow to the placenta. Of course, I am not a fan of the Sudafed because it was linked to hemmorhagic strokes in young women who took it whilst taking blood thinners (aspirin, cranberry, and saw palmetto all qualify)

Do not take anything with dextrothromorphan or ibuprofen around implantation.

Guanefesin is ok for heatlhy pregnancy but will sway BLUE.

Yes, I edited it, thanks for calling it to my attention.

Guanefesin is believed ok for healthy pregnancy and sways blue. If you are sick, though, you may not want to take it because it will make you have a LOT LOT LOT of snot (this is why it makes EWCM, too). So please proceed with caution, it may not be a great idea to take it when you are having one of those very sneezy very snotty type of colds.
