Hi!

I'm new here, hope this this is the right place to post my query. I'll be TTC a boy from April mid, which gives me just about 6 weeks time. I'm waiting on my sway plan. Meanwhile, while reading posts on this site, many posts suggest to take up muscle building exercises. So I was wondering if I've to buy weights or exercises like climbing stairs, lunges will suffice.

Also, I'm on prenats(pregnacare conception and folic acid), I was wondering if there is anything else which needs to be started before 6 weeks.
Thanks in advance.

Regards

I do a workout video and we do a lot of resistance work. So I think squats, lunges, push-ups, dips, and other exercises using your body weight is great. I'm always sore after those. I did buy some cheap weights too. They're only 8 pounds but perfect for my weak arms.

Lunges are great and my personal trainer prefers them to anything else for the legs. Push ups for the arms are great too or lifting a small child.

You can definatly start out with push ups, calf raises, sit ups, lunges and squats, as you get stronger you may want to add weights, you can use household items if you dont want to buy weights, like bottles of water or tinned food. I would say start on fish oil now too.

Do you think climbing stairs 4 floors 4 times will be any good?

I got mine at Target, I don't know if you have that store near you. They sell 3-15 pound weights and mine were only $5 when I got them. I'm not sure if they're the same price.

You may want to start a thread on this topic asking specifically people in the UK - ELP or someone else will know.

Sorry for stupid question, but is there a particular place to start that thread or just anywhere?

Oh I'm sorry I didn't see this, just go to the top of the page and there;s a button that says "post new thread" and then give it a title like, 'weights in UK'
