ive heard the higher the heartrate in fetal U/S (above 150s) is a girl and 140 and below a boy. has anyoen found this to be true?
for both my dd's they were 150s but at times theyd be 140s. i gues ranged from 140s-160)
what i was upset about is the OB that did my 1st U/S for DD2, she looked at the heartrate and said: looks like its a girl! (at like 9-12 weeks or something). i was pissed (bc hoping for a boy) but mostly bc i like to keep our genders a surprise. my dh was tehre too and he looked a tad disappointed. why would she do that? UNprofessional.

I think it's just a myth. My LO was 140 most of my pregnancy and she is all girly :)

My 3 boys were all around 130-140bpm. I had heard this too. My m/w said she thought DS3 was going to be a boy based on heart rate and she was right.

It was true for my first two kids--my DD1 was always 155 and up. My DS was 135-140 all the time. But DD2 was in the 130's most of the time too. One of the many reasons I thought she was going to be a boy!

I asked my OB that once and he asked me if I wanted him to go get the charm necklace to wave over my belly! So not true!

I guess we just can't believe in OWT but it was right for my girls. Of course it is not true for all the babys.
