Are your older 2 good friends? My older 2 were 3.5 and 2 when my last set of twins arrived. My husband had 7 weeks off works which was a godsend, I focused on the babies and he sorted out the big 2. By the time he went to work I'd recovered a bit from pregnancy and birth, and breastfeeding was well established. The house looked like a mess though (isn't much better now  ) but everyone was happy and fed. My older 2 are best friends (benefit of being so close in age!) and they were happy to play together, keep each other occupied most of the time.
Slings and baby carriers are soooooooooo helpful and I don't thing I would've survived without our baby swing and vibrating bouncers. Ask family and friends to bring meals instead of baby gifts and don't be shy about asking for help!!
This time round I'll have a 6yo, 4yo and 2yo twins when the newbies are born. It's the logistics of getting the older 2 to school.pre-school with the small 4 that I'm worrying about. The stuff at home just falls into place :)

Oh sweet mummy thanks hard as dh away until Thursday in India for work, feel like curling up in a lill ball a lot of the time ;-(
My mothers moved in and I've started eating bed taking prenatals today I know really I'm very luck but find it hard not to feel whole pregnancy is doomed ;-(
Meeks is so odd I've only been having twins for four weeks but I'd got really excited about the idea and its been stolen away a lill one who we've now imagined in our family it's very sad and hard as I know there are many in worst positions but to have a first loss at 16 wk seems unprecedentedly bad ;-(

Just because it could be worse doesn't mean you aren't allowed to grieve. Having dh away must have been hideous. Telling him over the phone would be horrible and not telling would be worse. That's just unimaginable pain and you are doing remarkably well in the face of it all. Listen to the doctors and keep on the prenatals and healthy diet. I don't think the pregnancy is doomed at all but understand the fear and why you would feel that way.
I am a planner and if I heard twins I would have a whole future in my head within seconds. I can completely see how having that ripped from you would have been just terrible.
Are they going to give you more frequent scans or anything to make sure it's all going smoothly from here on?
