Salsa's nub shot

So I decided I didnt want a nub shot. We arent finding out the gender AT ALL!! So I didnt want to obsess over the nub for the next 6 months!!
But I got one anyway in my pics I was given.... Bugger lol
So of course, Im obsessing...
What do you all think?
I think it looks pretty parallel to the spine, even though its angle upwards the spine is on a curve. So if you imagine flattening out the spine the nub would also be flat

Hmmmmmmmmmm........... What are your thoughts?

Thanks Atomic!! Im trying not to get my hopes up! Especially when it was done at 12.4wks not in my 13th wk. AND we arent finding out at all!!! Going to be a long 6 months to try and not get my hopes up!! Hard, when so far its been 100% girl guesses. Oh well, time will tell. Feeling really blessed the baby is all looking healthy and perfect at this stage x x

I couldnt believe it! I said to DH before we went in, I am not going to ask for one as I just dont want to obsess over it!! Ive seen so many perfect girl nubs be boys and vice versa! And the first pic I see there it is!!!! I am 12wks and 4 days in this. Still trying to take it with a grain of salt, but its getting hard not to with all these girl guesses!! lol

Ok, so I was doing good there for a while, finding myself busy and not obsessing over the nub.... But here I am again! I just feel so unsure with so many confirmed boy nubs after nearly 100% girl guesses..... I was feeling confident but not anymore :worry:
Somewhere I read that if the bumpy bit is on the bottom of the nub its more likely girl and if the bumpy bit is on the top its more likely boy?
Can anyone shed some light on this for me??

in your case, what angle?!! They come in different shapes.
Maybe you've reached the point when it's better to confirm
this nub guessing with a gender scan than continue nubsessing?

I am not seeing angle,true... It's the bulb on top that seems penis like to me. Maybe that is part of the cord.?
I have just spent many days looking through confirmed boy and girl nubs.
Mine could still be a boy, I feel. Lol. Just too many different nubs I have seen.

Thanks all for the input. From what I gather, after over a yr of looking at nubs, the little disconnected bit is the bulby bit, and on mine it seems to be on the bottom. From what I thought that means girl, if the disconnected bit is on top it is boyish.... Anyway, it is what it is I guess, and we'll know in the long run!

I think she mean the blob an top (correct me if I am wrong!). Often boy nubs image as a straight line with a blob/ball on top (which is the stacked nub). I think in your case the shadowy area is actually part of the leg.

When I looked on my phone the blob definitely looked as if it was more to do with the activity behind it:agree: but your pic just keeps reminding me of some of little Daves shots, so I am gonna say 51/49 boy. I have guessed like this before on a similar picture and was proved completely WRONG lol!!! If the nub is the straight bright line, then GIRL! If its that blob on top of the line (which I hope is a bit of leg or cord) then I'd say BOY.

If its that straight line then that's the girliest nub I've seen!!! Am confused by the other bit but also agree the other bit looks too big for a nub.

Somebody else said it already, I think now you have this, you are better to just find out at the 18-20 week scan, rather than going mad nubsessing!!!

I know, Im going to stop nub sessing now!! We def wont find out at anatomy scan, DH really doesnt want to and we didnt for any of the others, so I just have to put it out of my mind!
Its def the white line, as I also had another quick scan at work when I was 14 weeks and it was still there looking very flat still. That more grey thing is cord. I also put it on in gender and coldwater pointed out the cord on top of the nub.
Ok, I wil TRY to put it at the back of my mind now.... haha

I forgot you get to have scans at work. I would be hard pushed not to look at a potty shot... with ds1 I had no idea what I was looking at when the tech did a potty shot and asked "do you know what that is?", by the time ds2 came I knew even from looking at his manly feet, and when they did a potty shot I knew instantly!

lol, yes you do def take more interest after your first. Im VERY good, and make sure I look away in all the anatomy scans with the other pregnancies when they look at kidneys, etc etc around that area... But I feel nub is not off limits coz I keep telling DH its not 100% accurate... hehe so this is the first time and only time Ive had any insight into the gender whilst still pregnant and I cant help but obsess over it! lol
But Im going to put it out of my mind now (well I'll try anyway)

Thank you Meeks! I'm so nervous, but think its the best thing to find out now, can only imagine how churned up I'd be at delivery if I wait that long!! I think the anticipation is just such a killer lol 2 more sleeps-but won't know until about 9pm my time as will wait for DH to come home from a business trip over east....

When I went for my anatomy scan a few weeks ago - something that the sonographer said is stuck in my mind.... She knew (at the time) we didnt want to find out what we were having, anyway, I went to a womens specialised imaging place that just does obstetrics so I didnt go to work for this. (I work in Radiology) Anyway, she knew I worked in radiology, and when she was scanning the kidneys, she said "I hope you dont know what you're looking at because I know the gender" I couldnt see anything, but the screen was on the far wall and had it been closer I'm sure I could of seen something.
It just makes me feel like a penis was hitting her in the face the way she said it....
Its really bugging me - I so hope Im wrong....

I do too. But If the sonographer knows gender identification really well there is no reason he/she couldn't have seen a very obvious girl part just as much as he/she could have seen a boy one. So don't be put off by that! Maybe she saw hamburger! Lol

Second month on clomid and it didn't save me from another chemical but I did o earlier than the past few months, just not as early as we hoped. I'm on 50mg, thinking of upping to 100 next month. Waiting to test now. I could be 7 or 8 dpo. Ff thinks 7, I think 8 because I drank the night before the day I felt o pains (cd18) and think that temp was false high. Also my o pains were pretty obvious. Anyway I tested today and bfn. Still early but don't know what to feel. I don't know if I should convince myself to feel confident in my symptoms because I've had them so many times before, and had chemicals, or bfn's.

Lol I have no more sway factors to loosen. Dropped frequency 2 cycles ago when I started clomid, had to drop all other vitamins and pep tea etc when I started clomid too. Loosened LE this month and last to include meat 3 meals a week and am on the upper limits of diet. Basically if clomid doesn't sway I have pretty much nothing left!!!

Lol nearly! I think I told you I basically dropped most of my sway factors and ended up falling pregnant. I think some bodies just respond really sensitively to swaying more than others. I know my body was super sensitive to vitex and saw palmetto, made it do all sorts of crazy things.... Then I had 2 cycles in a row where I didn't O at all. I know I was only trying for 8months, not as long as you but I thought it would never happen. I know your time will come hon. You've put in so much hard work. You deserve it to happen soon! I will update as soon as I know something!! One more sleep but 2 more days as we won't open results until DH flies back home tomorrow night....
