I know sweet potato has lots of potassium but I've seen many women ttc'ing pink add them to the diet. It is not listed in IG's list of boy foods..
Is there any thread on sweet potatoes on this site ? 2 of friends who love it and both had boys ..so was just wondering....What is it supposed to sway exactly ?

There are no magic foods! http://genderdreaming.com/forum/swaying-studies-scientific-research/466-myth-magic-foods.html
A sweet potato paired with protein as part of a larger meal eaten as one of many meals and snacks throughout the day sways blue. A sweet potato with no/little butter and a small serving of grains or other veggies (or even on its own) eaten as one of 2-3 meals that are spaced well apart with no breakfast sways pink.
There are so many foods that can be eaten on both diets as long as you are keeping within the overall numbers for calories, fat, protein, sodium, and potassium. As a pink swayer, I have 2-3 sweet potatoes/week, coconut water daily, a banana daily, a Larabar daily and eat many other "blue" foods, but my numbers are still well within the pink range. Don't focus on individual foods. Worry about the big picture instead.

Foods do not sway. It is the overall pattern and nutrient content of yoru diet that matter and not any one or two "magical foods". Sweet potatoes are a good addition to the diets of both blue and pink swayers.
I ate them 1-2 times a week when TTC my DD. I also ate them about that often when TTC my 3rd son.
