I am getting a little older (36) and I am TTC a girl. With my first two I was prego with one try. Now that I am a little older and TTC a girl (which may take longer) I was wondering if there are any women in here that are 35+ and how long it took to conceive. I hope it doesn't offend anyone that I am asking ages but I have heard that after 35 it gets more difficult to conceive... has anyone found this to be true or not true??

I conceived a girl on one try at age 36 and a half. She was an "oops" baby, so I wasn't swaying or anything. But I think if you have been able to get pregnant easily in the past, you hopefully won't have much trouble this time. Good luck with your sway! :)

Only 2 months at 43... that is awesome!! You are giving me hope that it won't take too long. Maybe we (meaning women trying to sway) have better luck because we are very in tune with when we ovulate?? I know when some of my friends have had trouble conceiving I will ask them if they know when they ovulate and most of them have no idea if or when they ovulate... just shooting in the dark.

I got pg first try with both my boys at age 28 and 30, it took 17 months for this baby (not swaying the whole time) and I'm now 34.

I had a complicated m/c in Nov 2009 and resultant surgery in April 2010. I think it took such a long time because of this. I had another m/c in Jan this year and I think that reset things.

Sorry to hear that... that may explain why it took so long. So glad to hear that you are pregnant now!

I'm 35 and have never tried, tried for a baby except this sway. DD #1 and DS#2 were not expected at all. I was 34 when pregnant with DS#2 and we got pregnant with only a split second little oops. I'm not willing to accept that getting a BFP might take more than 1 attempt. :)

I'm 34 and I was swaying on and off for a year, made six full-on attempts with charting and everything, but eight attempts with OPK. But my cycle seemed messed up from BCPs, it took six months until anything much happened at all. With my first, I got pregnant the second month after I discontinued my BCPs. Sorry to be a downer  .

Adding to my earlier post - I am now 39 and will start TTC #4 either this month or next! Hopefully it will be as easy as the first 3. Good luck!
