Hi there,
I've been taking SP in preparation for my first attempt this month. I started taking it a few days before CD1 and am still on it at CD14 (today). I haven't had any signs that O is on the way yet and know SP can delay ovulation.
Do I need to stop taking it now in order for O to happen? I usually O around CD17 or 18 and intended to take it until I got a positive OPK. If I stop now will the effects still be there if say I don't O for another week? (I read somewhere it only lasts for 2 days in your system but not sure if this is correct).
Any help would be much appreciated :)

Yes, try and stop taking it a day or 2 before expected O...

Thanks - does that apply to vitex too?

Mind if I join in? I've got a similar question about SP and Vitex. I'm toward the end of my sway attempt and my custom sway plan says to take them CD1-the day before O, but I O on CD10 and don't get AF until CD28/9. It seems such a short period of time to be on the supps. Are the supps doing anything for my long cycle?

Vitex actually delayed my O when I was taking it for a similar time so I think it is pretty potent stuff!

Stop taking it on CD 14 or at pos OPK, whichever comes first.
The actual SP stuff itself is gone from your system in 2-3 days but the effects of the SP last longer than that.

It is very very very very rare to ovulate on CD 10 and not get AF till CD 28. Almost unheard of. I would advise looking into your cycle a bit more to be sure you are Oing when you think you are. :)
As long as you start them CD 1 and take them for a week or so, they are doing something. What you CAN'T do is randomly take them for a week or two coming into O if you didn't already start them at CD 1 because that will delay O.
