Hi everyone! I think this thread could be interesting to talk about antiandrogen BCP like a sway tactic.
Iīll try to make my story short. Iīhave a lovely DS and we are planning to TTC in may a DD. I have reading about swaying since a year. I discovered first IG, and later I found this amazing site with the most reliable swaying info on net! I have doubt between several swaying tactics like vitex+SP, clomid and so. All they are great pink sway options, and if you feel you are not capable to decide, or canīt study deep about them, I recommend to ask atomic for a personal plan. I have finally decided to go on anti androgen BCP.
Basically, antiandrogen BCP works making a pink enviroment in your reproductive system and hormones, and once you stop them, this "pink enviroment" start to recover gradually. So, if you are lucky to get pregnant, itīs a good chance to get pink. Of course, not 100% but we all know anything is never 100% in swaying. Anyway, Iīm also doing other things like diet, and will do jellies, antihistamines, aspirin, one attempt and abstinence.
My DH is taking soy at nights, and will take LR, cranberry and sudafed.
I donīt know if I could get pregnant doing these things, but I want to try the first month doing all that things, because I donīt know what of these things can be key for me, and if canīt get pregnant, go dropping secundary elements and start taking vitex+SP.
I have seen in these months several threads and questions about BCP, and I though it could be interesting if we could have a "group" to share experiences using BCP to sway.
(please note me if thereīs a similar group already opened, to close it. Thanks)

I have been on BCP for 4 years and I was planning on getting off BCP a few months before ttc but after talking to atomic and buying my PP, I have decided to get off BCP right before ttc because of this as well!
Good luck and I hope we both get our girls!

You have been a lot of time on BCP, so you have a VERY good chance with it! I only will be for 2 month before my attempt (my doctor recommended me at least 3, but donīt want to skip may and donīt want to continue on LE diet and starting cheat...) I hope it will work for us!! :fingers:

I hope so too. I was on it for 4 years with DS2 and was off it a month or two when I got pregnant by surprise but I also had a very boy friendly diet.
I've always been a big meat eater. So plenty of protein!
I hope the change in diet and everything else will be my golden ticket!

I have been a big meat eater, gosh daily! i think diet is the clue for me. I will be on anti-androgenic BCP 3 months before TTC.
We should have a good chance to get BFP first month trying because the ovulation starts pretty much right away and sometimes 2 eggs can be released as well. I dont know how hard we should sway, not too much bcz we want the benefit of the changes made to reproductive tract by BCP. Your description is fantastic Mariposa :)
The other concern is how are we going to know when we ovulate? We want 1 attempt, right?
I have not seen any amazing results wen people are using SP and vitex...not yet. Though I have not checked the statistics lately. Many girl swayers have updated with GIRL, so I really hope we hear it too. This site is amazing!!!

Hi Mariposa! I am on cd2 I just finished my last BCP two days ago and got my period the very next day... This month will be my first attempt so FX, since this is my first month trying I want to try abstinence+1 attempt+ jellies and be ready to star dropping next month.... I'm not sure yet if I will use the clomid this cycle since I'm doing a lot and don't want to waste a month using it...I should star taking the clomid tomorrow so still tinkling about it... I took the BCP for three months and did it just because I was trying to regulate my cycle, help with LP and because I've read that helps with pink sway, so lets see... What's the difference between an anti-androgen BCP and a regular BCP? Sorry for the silly question but not sure if all the BCP are the same :/

I plan to start doing TO around CD 10. I expect O around CD 19, because 3 months ago I took BCP and the month after stop it, I O on CD19. Anyway it use to be said you can expect your O after stop around a week later of your normal O, but of course is not always like this.

welcome! more BCP swayers! nice to hear about it! and looks like you are the first to try it!
Respect the BCP and anti androgen BCP, both sway pink. Anti androgenic BCP has a kind of gestagen (one of the 2 components which use to have BCP) which help to reduce your androgenic manifestations like facial hair, hair loss.... So it uses artificial hormones to put your own hormones in a certain balance which favours pink , especially the first month after stop it, altough the normal hormones levels recovery gradually and depends of every person circuntances. LE diet is key that month when you stop BCP because atomic says that if you are on diet, your body canīt make much testosterone for example, because you have not raw materials to produce it.
Anyway, the production of testosterone is though to be very affected once you stop it (even being little time on it) according some researches:
Birth Control Pill Could Cause Long-Term Problems With Testosterone, New Research Indicates (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/35663.php)

Thank you. I'm actually off it this month as I had to have a scan done, but will be back on it in a week or 2. We will hopefully be ttc in 4-6 months. I have a 5 month old so need a little break :). I have started making changes to diet, but don't want to get too sick of it too early. The red meat and salt have gone, so that's a start. When are you ttc?

I think you are right about not to start by now the diet if you are not going to TTC until 4-6 months, altough it depends of the weight amount you have to lose. You can continue stopping breakfast or even go veggie until the moment to TTC:agree:
Why do you stop BCP now if you are going TTC in 4-6 months? If you havenīt medical or special reasons, I think it would be better if you take BCP until the first month you are ready to conceive, to add an extra pink factor to your sway

I'm here, too! I actually had no idea BCP swayed pink until I got my custom plan from Atomic. I had originally planned to stop it a couple of months in advance of TTC but now of course will be taking it up until the very last minute. :) I started it this month b/c my dr is hoping it will shrink an ovarian cyst that I have. So I will be on it for at least 5 months before TTC. I don't have much weight to spare so I am not planning to go strict LE until about 90 days out but have already started trying to limit my meat and fat intake and have stared drinking Crystal Light and bought some peppermint tea that I plan to start drinking daily also.
I'm glad this thread got started, can't wait to watch the BCP swayers ahead of me!
Good luck and lots of pink dust to everyone!

Mini-pill only have gestagens, no estrogens. The only one mini pill we have in my country uses "desogestrel" a kind gestagen derivated of testosterone, which have a light anti-androgen effect too. I have a list with different kind of gestagens used in my country but couldnīt find yours. In internet (which you already suposed have read) says itīs a prostagen , but donīt know if it has anti-androgen effect. Maybe you want to ask your doctor, and if doesnīt, change it. Anyway, all BCP and mini-pill sways pink creating an hostile "enviroment" in your reproductive system that can last more or less depending of every woman even after stopping them (especially first month after)

I precisely asked it to atomic, days ago. She told me not to take PP Tea, nor SP, because both could do an opposite BCP effect. So I guess, itīs the same conclussion to mini-pill too.

A couple of months ago I took BCP (the same I take now) and stop, and I O'ed on CD 21 and usually O on CD 18. I have read you should expect O around one week after you normally would O. Anyway I plan to do TO from CD 10, and don't DTD until I confirm with digital and regular TO several + in a row to avoid false positives ( which could happen since that first month, hormones aren't balanced yet)
Since june on BCP is great!the more, the best!

Welcome! All BCP sways pink. Minipill doesnt have estrogens, only gestagens. Anti androgenic BCP are BCP with an anti androgenic gestagen, which lower your T levels, and thus, sways pink. They are used to reduce masculine manifestations. Lowers T levels recover gradually after stop it, so the first month after stop is a good chance to sway pink.
I take belara which contains chlormadinone acetate as the anti androgenic gestagen. It's very used in my country, but is not available in all countries. I think in France, Swiss, Italy, Germany, Holland or Mexico is available, but not sure on England. Anywaymy doctor offered me several possibilities like yasmineand others. You should ask your doctor for a BCP wich anti androgenic effect. I'm sure they will give you without any problem

When I stopped breastfeeding my two oldest children (both at 10 months old), I also went off the mini pill; at that point, I got my period about a month later. I didn't really keep track at the time, because I didn't see the need to do so, but this is what I remember. So I might ovulate that first month...guess I'll have to buy some cheapie OPKs to start testing right away! Who knows though...I may get my period back before going off the mini pill. I'm still currently breastfeeding my 11 month old (although VERY seldom) and still have not had a PPAF. I plan to breastfeed him until he weans himself or until about the time I go to TTC; whichever come first.

Hello ladies! Just a little update here...it is a long story... Lol... Ok so the month of the attempt came and I was ready with everything had the perfect plan in my head ready to put it in action started with clomid 25 mg on cd 3 ans started with regular opk on cd 8 digital opk cd 10, regular opk started look dark but digital was negative so I though it was a false surge with the regular opk, on cd 14 digital showed me a flash happy face so I thought I will be O soon but regular opk started look negative totally negative so I was confuse off course, but I said I'll stay with the digital, to make it shorter I had 6 days of flashing happy face with digi opk, I read and it said that clomid can give false positive because of the estrogen but LH won't be affected so I was waiting for LH but..... I wasn't counting with the fact that my DH will be leaving town!!!! OMG I was soooooo mad and frustrated thinking about all the months on the diet, all the months with BCP, all the effort, everything, it was cd14 and still no posite LH DH was 10 days with abstinence leaving next day and planing on returning after 2 days on cd 17!!!!! I had plan to bd once after +OPK, So I started to freak out I had no options I was hoping for a posite LH next day so I decided to go with the bd at 1 am thinking off course this is not going to work my only chance was to have a + LH next day but didn't happened :( so... That was it, so sad and disappointed right now, I had a almost positive with the regular opk but negative with the digital, on cd 16 I had + with two of them so I guess I O on cd 17 my DH came home around 8pm on cd17 I put the kids to sleep and we bd around 10pm but I'm sure I had already O during morning because of cm, cramping and CP, we had this attempt at approximate 38 hours after +opk with DH taking care of him twice daily, so after first bd with abstinence of 10 days we bd again after He FR 6 times in 3 days aprox so when we bd it was his 7th release ...any way I'm sure it was too late, so I'm not even going to test I'm sure it will be a BFN, I'm still on the diet but eating a little bit more since I still have time for next cycle I'm kind of relaxing a little bit trying to up my potassium level with some potatoes, tomatoes and having some treats like ice cream and chocolate cookies just because after all this disaster I think i deserve some chocolate!!!! Lol :)

jd03pd, if AF comes to you one month later it means you must ovulate around CD 14 after stop it, so you more or less have an idea about when could probably happen this time, although I wouldnīt rely , and go with thouse cheapies OPKs :agree:
justlikeme, oh, Iīm sorry it has been such a chaos! I didnīt know about false positives when on clomid, but I guess all the stuff that mess the ovulation like BCP, mini-pills, clomid.... can produce that effect. Anyway, you know with cheap OPK you never know exactly when O comes, so, maybe your 38 hours post +OPK must be perfectly valid and get your BFP. I hope so!!! :fingers:

Hi everyone!
I was supposed to start anti androgenic BCP today, so I started reading about side effects. Reading about blood clots really scared me:(
Anti androgenic BCP is high in hormones and thus increased risk of blood clots, which can be life threatening!
So I am thinking, is it better to use Yasmin rather than no BCP or, should I just drop it all....
Please need your suggestions on this one

Hi cauliflower! ALL BCP has this side effect, not only the anti androgen ones, because of the estrogens. I have used it several times in my adult life without problems. Anyway it's something that scares me , so I asked my doctor before started it. She told me that 20 of 100.000 bcp user aprox. have this problem. So, the risk in non-smokers and without familiar background issues, is very low. Anyway if you want to take it safetely, maybe you want to ask your doctor to help you to find one specific to you. There are several BCP with anti androgen effect, it depends on the gestagen it has, and all sways pink.
Yasmin is anothe option if you prefer. It's anti androgenic too. It works with an anti-mineralocorticoid gestagen which makes this BCP a little diuretic. It's often prescribed to women with breast engorgement or weight gain on BCP because of water retention, but also contain estrogen, so have the same bood clots risks.
Iīm taking it without any problem. But Iīm under 35 and non-smoker. These are the principal things to llok at before take it. Overmore, probably youīll be taking baby aspirin to sway, which helps to avoid blood cluts. But this side effect is rare in healthy-young women, because of the low dose of them nowadays, but if you donīt feel comfortable, donīt take them, or ask a doctor first.
Next week is my last pill!! Iīll let you know! :fingers:

Updating here!!
Period stared yesterday morning :( I was feeling cramping and sharp pain in my right side so part of my though that maybe I was pregnant but off course it was almost impossible soooooo I'm on cd2 today, I know for sure I ovulated on cd17 and I just had a 9 days LP really really short this time I don't know what happend here I was having 12 days LP but off course while on the BCP, but I was also hoping that the clomid will help with this, but maybe because of the low dosis clomid didn't even do anything for me this time....so what to do know?? I'm really calm and feeling strong to keep on the diet and everything because since the begging I though this month will be just a practice and because we didn't even have time to BD.... DH will be traveling this month too he said it will be around same time so there's no way I'm going to go trough the same so I won't have a attempt this month, he promised me that during may there will be no traveling so May it will be my second attempt and I really really need help this time, what to do? I was on BCP trying to regulate my period, trying to help whit LP, should I go back to BCP or should I try Vitex?? I've been thinking that maybe since I'm skipping April I should take Vitex Af to AF stop take the clomid complete dose this time off course and BD at +opk, please tell me what you think about the Vitex.... It's being really hard to stay in the diet during this weeks I've eating sweets and more chicken then usual, specially because I have family visiting us and they are looking at me like are you sure you're eating enough? They think I'm really thin!! I want them to go so I can go back to my diet!!! :) I hope this doesn't ruin my diet!!

Interesting, didnīt know about yasminelle estrogen quantity! From what I know, Diane is the most heavy anti androgenic BCP, so I can imagine all the rest are weaker. Anyway, ALL sways pink, reducing T levels, altough my doctor told me I should know that altohouh all BCP stop hormonal production, and thus, the T secretation, there is a 25% of testosterone and other weak androgens that still are synthesizing by the adrenal glands (I guess our body canīt live with zero Testosterone synthesis....

Iīm sorry period has come. Atomic advice is to start vitex+SP second month after stop BCP, but in your case, using clomid I think you canīt. My advice would be to stay as strong on diet as you can. SOme cheats here and there donīt ruin your diet, is the general frame what matters! I hope atomic can read this and can advice better about what you should do respect clomid and supps. I donīt want to risk to advice you anything about something I donīt know very well (clomid). I whish you this will be your month !!! :fingers:

Hi Ladies,
Sorry, I just thought of a question! If we are going to stay on BCP until attempt, are we still ok to introduce the supplements as we would? Are there any of the suppliments that we shouldn't take whilst on BCP?
Thanks!x
welcome Jen! You should stop BCP (yasmin is fine to sway pink) right before to TTC , because the first month after stop them you have a more pink friendly internal enviroment. The more months you are on BCP , the best!
You shouldnīt take any supp while on BCP or first mont after stop it because they can cause an opposite effect on your hormonal levels. If you donīt get pregnant that first month, then, star with supps. Good luck!

Hello all!
I started taking yasminelle 2weeks ago. Having terrible aching in my boobs, I feel them all the time! And my skin is breaking out. My stomach has been upset too, pluss having strange sensation over ovaries/uterus.
Have not ever used BCP before. Is this normal?does it go away? I know these are side effects.
I am sure Diane will have even more side effects :( thinking about quitting ltogether.
Any thoughts?

HI cauliflower, these side effects are normal, especially the first months you take. Also is normal to have mid cycle spotting (first 2 months I had, last cycle I just finished I hadenīt) All it goes better the more you take, your body is adjusting to this, so I think thereīs nothing to worry about. Anyway if you donīt feel comfortable at all or very worried, maybe you want to see your doctor. I wouldnīt quit bcp because of this side effects, unless it will get worse and worse or your doctor tell you to stop. There are millions of women world around using it, and the first months usually all of us have suffered some side effects. Try not to read too much the side effects listed on box, because I used to do it and and -at least for me- it is much worse ;)

I took my last BCP 2 days ago, so waiting to my AF today or tomorrow...my CD1!!! trying not to stress, so I wonīt be here too much lol but Iīll update as soon as possible with any news (positive or negative...hope for a positive one!!)
Diet is going ok, have lost 5 kg (around 10 lb?) and planning to loose 2 kg (around 4 lb?) more in these 2 weeks leading to O, Iīm weak and tired... My DH has already been more than 2 month taking daily soy milk at night, he feels very tired, I think his T levels has drop a lot! And started 2 weeks ago to change his "release pattern" from 2-3 days to 7 days, if it helps his body to "adjust" to produce less spermies, instead of only do abstinence the week before O. I think itīs working in some way because last release had something like "clots" sorry tmi, which was coagulated proteins in sperm due to the change in release patterns (nothing worrying or dangerous, totally normal when abstain), so I hope this adjust to produce less sperm + LR + soy will help! But over all, a healthy baby...praying and praying!!!:awe: I will you keep update!! :agree:

I'm not sure... I know after stopping bcp is not a good idea because can mess your post-pill pink hormonals leves, but while you take it I dont know if it's better or not to take it. I guess one or two cups if you like it, doesn't mind, but taking large amounts of it while on bcp maybe mess your hornonals levels even in a way we don't want, but I'm not sure because we dont know real datas about it.... Anyway, bcp is strong enough to do their job. I think is better to focus on lose nutrients the months before, rather on obsess on low the estrogens levels through other things that could hurt the bcp effects.... But probably atomic can give you a better answer. I'm sometimes very cautious lol

But in fact , even I know if I would get pregnant this first time. I really hope so because I feel weak and donīt think I can continue doing diet so hard like now...and despite I donīt want to rise T levels thinking this like a exam or competition, I realised that for me, trying to avoid these thinkings is more stresful than assume that my personality is like this, and try to change these thinkings for the positive ones around how many things are changed in me and my DH since started the sway. Anyway, I try to be very little by here (although is difficoult because Iīm awake until late in night to sleep little...) to not stress too much...

Hi ladies! Quick update from the mobile phone, I finally had my +TO last thursday evening and DTD that night (tecnically on friday since it was past midnight). I say finally because I had an u/s and be told I was going to O in the next 3-5 days and it was 8 days later finally. I feel pregnant, but probably all is in my head, but feel ovary pain all day like before my DS's BFP. Really worried if I'm pregnant it's an ectopical because of my CM which was very very thick... Well I'll keep you update and specially atomic who I asked advice before my attempt because I was said I was ovulating from my right ovary, And I didn't understand why if I felt soooo weak and tired and it's suposed to ovulate from left when things aren't going well. Anyway, whatever is done, is done.... Maybe am not pregnant (probably) ....

Yes, I did 1 attempt + LE diet (hardcore 6 weeks, especially week of O, loose 7 kg, around 14 lb) + rephresh&acijel combo + baby aspirin + zyrtec (all the week of O) + 1/4 benadryl (I tried one whole pill a week before and ended in emergency with a strong lowering blood pressure maybe because of diet and this pill, or maybe 50 mg was too much to me)+ abstinence (ended with 13 days of abstinence) + Licorice Root (DH) + Milk soy, no red meat (DH) + DTD in New Moon + Antiandrogen BCP (2 months before and 1 months a couple of months before)
Letīs see what happens... Iīm on 5 DPO and since first day post O I feel a lot of cramps and ovary (both) pain, metal taste on mouth yesterday, strange dreams, heartburn.... maybe it means nothing, Iīll start testing from 7DPO, and let you.
Itīs really difficoult to get pregnant doing all that stuff, but who knows!

Atomic recommended not to do EVERYTHING bcz after BCP the reproductive system has not fully recovered and you dont have lot of cervical mucus etc.
Lets see if you are PG then maybe I will consider doing rephresh/acijel and zyrtec.
Was it one attempt at pos OPK? Did your DH have any side effects of LR? (how old is he and any blood pressure issues on his side of family?) I am considering convincing my husbanmd to do it, but dunno if he agrees.
I will be TTC in July :) Still one more month on BCP or more.

Yes I know it shouldn't be done all that stuff but you know, when the attempt is inminent... I just needed to do all I can, and I wanted to give a try to a strict sway the first month.
Respect timing, yes. Positive TO at 17:00 pm on thirsday and DTD at 00:15 am on thursday , so tecnically on friday. I Oed on friday evening, so around 20 hours later. I did'nt want a cut off, and my DH was 13 days of abstinence and I have fear that he could accidentally released while sleeping that night and loose that LR batch. I finally Oed the same day I did when I stopped BCP a couple of months ago.
FX for your july attempt !!! :)

He has not problem of blood pressure and anyway in the bottle of nature's way recommend 6 pills per day, and he took 3 per day and also baby aspirin every day which I though it would be good for his blood anyway. cauliflower, donīt worry about cheats. I had many in my "first part" of my diet, just where are you. Itīs because you still see your attempt far away and guess the anxiety about sway. Hi girls! Still faint line... but still it is there (with 2 different brands)! The last 3 days has been very faint, so I was pretty convinced itīs an ectopical or a chemical, but this morning I would say itīs darker. Still faint, but darker. I donīt want to do the digital because Iīm afraid of BFN because of low concentration or something. All the faint lines are appearing after the recommended time but...how am I going to get evaporation lines with all the test?
Itīs new for me, because with DS I just test on 7 DPO and I get a faint line but probably more decent than this time, because I decided to do the following day a clearblue and was a BFP by then.
Itīs said that girls=early BFP and boys= late BFP, well not with my DS who was very early, and this time Iīm getting lots of troubles to get a decent line!
Friday-saturday would be my AF. I keep suspecting faint lines are due to pregnancy, but still have to wait 3-4 more days to confirm...

So ladies...I'm currently on a mini pill that is not anti-androgen. I have yet to have a PPAF (since I got pregnant in August 2011, been on mini pill since June 2012), and I was curious what would you do...would you go ahead and switch to Yasmin a month or two before TTC, or do you think I should stick with what I'm using now? I believe it is generic Micronor...

May 25th, 2013, 09:51 AM
Hi jd,
I have never been on the mini-pill, so I have no experience to go on - are you breast feeding at all? Coz that's a big decision maker! Second, I can only say that this is the second time I have been on Yasmin and I have to say I get on well with it. Its quite a new-ish one available and has minimum levels of hormones (so I hear) so it doesn't mess with you quite so much. I didn't realise it swayed girl til I was already back on it - so fortunate for me! Its a decision only you can make I guess. Apparently the longer you are on it the more effective it will be. I don't honestly know if 2months would be worth it - hopefully someone else can provide better info. x

May 25th, 2013, 12:37 PM
I was breastfeeding, but I stopped at the end of April. I can't get new pills before the end of June, as that was the last time I had a yearly exam, and insurance will only pay for it once a year. :worry:
I do know that it is good that I haven't had a period in forever...I was thinking of just switching from mini pill to Yasmin and being on it for a couple months before I TTC in September. Hmm...decisions, decisions.

thanks, ladies!!! sorry not to update before, but friday (one day nefore my AF due) I had a BFN on my digital clearblue, so I was really sad. But AF didnīt showed on time and all this weekend Iīve had more are more sickness before and after eating, high temps and my instict tells me Iīm pregnant or at least, something was happening down there.
So today (first day after AF due) I took another regular test and line is there!! I donīt want to put my hopes up until I donīt see in a digital, and later in an ultrasound, but Iīm happy with my (still faint, but the strongest of all the test Iīve done) line there! I think Iīll repeat the clearblue tomorrow.
Iīm really surprised about the time of getting a decent BFP. With my son it was a 7-8 DPO. Anyway I donīt mind if itīs a healthy and sticky one, please!!! :awe:
jd03pd, all BCP sways pink (including minipill), but minipill only have one of the 2 components of the regular BCP. Anti androgenic BCP has a kind of gestagen (one of the 2 components which use to have BCP) which help to reduce your androgenic manifestations like facial hair, hair loss.... So it uses artificial hormones to put your own hormones in a certain balance which favours pink , especially the first month after stop it. Anyway minipill creates an hostile enviroment, so sways pink too. But I think it could be a good idea if you take BCP after minipill if you are not breastfeeding anymore. It can help your hormones levels before TTC. Only to note that maybe so many months of minipill and after BCP could makes hard to get a pregnancy, but you never know. Maybe if you are very fertile to begin with, wonīt have any trouble, good luck!!

justlikeme, your symptons looks great! I felt ovary pains and had creamy and super sticky CM too. FX for you!
Respect the ovary, the point is that seems that right ovary has more succesful pregnancies:
Right-sided ovulation favours pregnancy more than... [Hum Reprod. 2000] - PubMed - NCBI (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10966987)
so, many women on a strict diet or bad fertile situations are more likely to ovulate from left and thus, having a girl.

HI girls, thank you all... but I donīt have good news. After my positive test yesterday I just have started today with a miscarriage at 5+1 weeks  Itīs sad but I really prefer this, rather than continue with a pregnancy that simply didnīt go well since first moment whit all that faint lines which never become stronger.
So CD1 for me (well, technically tomorrow I guess, because today is not red blood- sorry TMI-, just spotting). Iīm going to try this month again for a sticky, healthy and pink bean, and hopefully this early miscarriage sways pink for me.
Iīve put some weight (around 4 lbs of the 14 lbs I lost) but I can loose this and even 2 lb more, probably. The plan is going to be more or less the same. One attempt at +OPK but going to do a different kind of DH release because last time we ended with a 13 days of abstinence and -maybe- it caused some genetical problem on the bean. Will never know.
So Iīm not going to stress about the pattern at all. Probably will do a compressed frequent release, and DTD once with his third batch in a day along with LR.
Probably drop baby aspirin, not because I think itīs not safe, cauliflower, but I was really lightheaded all the last month and I donīt know if it was the reason, because I have read it can happen. Maybe was because the diet or maybe all togheter, but this time I think IF I take it will be the day of O, or so, but donīt think since the beggining. Anyway, aspartame and acijel last time put my CM in a good ph so I donīt want to be very obsessed about these things.
Respect BCP, I have some more, but think I prefer to use the m/c rather than start again with BCP, except I see I have toooooons of CM or I feel with a very high T levels (Iīm going to try my doctor to measure not only my beta but also my T levels  next tuesday) and the rest...God will say!

Also not using zyrtec and rephresh, I am also leaning towārds not using baby aspirin bcz of the weaning off process, and no drugs after O! Guess what I have left is diet+ Getting off BCP+ once BD after pos OPK. Hope it is just enough!

Mariposa! What can I say....I like your attitude, stay strong and positive and let's hope that next time it will be a sticky, healthy and pinky bean :):) as for me.... I'm OUT cd4 today and feeling a little disappointed, I was praying that this month will be our month, but no AF arrived Friday with a LP of just 10 days which worries me actually I don't know why my LP is so short now or what can I do to improve it....what do you ladies think?? Any way I really need advices here, we are moving to FL this month so it is caotic right now plus I'm going to spend part of the summer in South America with my family and after that my family is coming to stay with us for another month!!! So it would be impossible to think about the swaying for at least 3 months and that will put me back during the boys months, so I think the best will be to wait until January to star with the attempts, what do you think?? And also, what should I do during this time? Soups? Diet? Please I need advises.....
Good luck Cauliflower !!!

Hi girls, thank you all! MC started heavily yesterday so CD2 for me. Next week my doctor want to do an u/s to check if everything is ok and hopefully I can see by then that ovulation is soon!
I donīt know if Iīll be much or little by here...it depends on how I feel at the moment. Anyway I promise an update whatever it happens.
Justlikeme, so sorry AF showed... I know people take B6, clomid and progesterone creams to lenght the LP but I really canīt help you because I donīt know how they work... Respect the diet, well itīs tricky because if you know for sure youīre going to cheat all the time I think itīs better to skip that months, enjoy without feel guilty and start again after summer. But itīs an individual (and hard) decision I know... I wish you good luck for your next attempt!
marriedmumof2, I donīt know all the exact BCP that are anti androgenic, but found this in internet that maybe can help you:

OMG, that was depressing reading :worry: about hairloss and BCP!
I am dreading what will happen once I get off! FX for getting PG first month, I usally get thick hair in pregnancy, same effect as BCP I guess.
Mariposa, just a question if you have time to answer, or any of you other ladies :)
This is my first experience with BCP, I took yasminelle x 3 non stop! So no bleeding, but te last 10 days, I have had blood or brown discharge.
When you got off BCP, when dd you have AF? And. Read somewhere that if you have discharge or bleedings in between, then sometimes there is no AF, or te AF is late? I hope that is not true:(

Hi cauliflower, brown spotting is normal while on BCP, even more taking them non-stop. Normally AF arrive on third day without take them (at least for me)
I'm sure you'll have AF when stop them too, so don't worry about having spotting instead of a real AF.
Respect hair loss, it also happens to me again. I stopped BCP almost 6 weeks and now I'm loosing hair, but not too much. It also happened last time I stop them but after a couple of weeks it gets better! Good luck!!!! :)

Jumping in here! I am currently on month 2 of the mini pill. Is anyone else on the mini pill? If so, is it normal to get spotting - light pink every now and then?
I had it the first week I started the pills and then I had it yesterday (right in the middle of the pack) with cramping. I started them when DS3 was 6 weeks old so I haven't had AF return yet. I am thinking maybe I had spotting with ovulation and maybe AF will return this month but not sure! I am BF'ing....well pumping... 4 times a day and stopped night pumping since I have a massive supply in the freezer and DS3 is sleeping through the night mostly. So maybe now that I am not pumping at night, AF is going to return.
I'm not looking forward to AF's return but in a way, it makes me a little excited to know that I am on target for TTC in Nov/Dec!

Hi! cauliflower, I Oed on CD 19, so maybe you have already O!! FX for you and hope everything go well! :agree:
About me...well... Iīm not very much by here because Iīm not feeling ok. This month has been terrible. Everyday my OPK were positive because of the m/c the month before and the altered hormones.... so it was very difficoult to me to pinpoint ovulation -CM was absolutly zero, so no clue from it- and only was able to find ovulation through Temp, once my T was already high (some hours later) and DTD once. The point is that again, same symptons like month beforeso, maybe itīs another chemical. Or maybe I just didnīt get pregnant. My AF is due this next wednsday and Iīm very overwhelmed with swaying...thatīs because Iīm not very much by here, but I wish you all the best and really hope can give you any update about me soon! :hugs:

Hi Mari! So good to hear from you really. I am actually 4 DPO now, did one attempt at pos OPK.
Just waiting now. I am too overwhelmed by swaying, especially bcz DH is still not sure he wants another, and has given me 3-4 months, in which I hope I get PG with one attempt at pos OPK only, it should technically be possible, but luck has to be there too you know.
Tomorrow is my appointment with the gynecologist, hopefully she can tell me when I Oed, it is too early to say anything about pregnancy anyway. And I can have my bloodwork done again regarding testosterone and SHBG.

Unfortunately, any method or tactic is 100% sure, and will always be opposites. BCP sways pink creating an hostile enviroment and many women have conceived girls right after stop them (of course, boys too). Overmore, people who used them to sway also have often used other tactics like antihistamines, licorice root, frequency... and diet, the most important. Probably without all these tactics, BCP alone, doesnīt sway very hard but with them , I think is a good chance to sway. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience.
My only concern nowaday is that getting pregnant right after stop them, can up the m/c odds, or maybe because of it plus diet... I think all this is envolved in my present situation: first month TTC ended with a chemical at 5w2d and this cycle Iīm afraid is going to happen the same. Today is 13 DPO and faint line

Hi! How are you doing, hun? Hope you are better. I have been thinking a lot about swaying in these past year of researching in a technical way , and in the last 3 months, with my 2 chemical-mc-attempts I have changed my attitude TOTALLY.
Iīm only focusing on what I think itīs the most important things, and which -maybe- favours X sperm, but...what if my future baby is "already" set and will come when will be the perfect moment to he/she?
I just want you to think that maybe your DD will come, although your T levels are not the same when you stop BCP, maybe itīs not so important and you donīt have to upset with this so much! I donīt know if I have explained me very good
I strongly suspect the 2 times I have got pregnant have been boys, despite it has been super-strong sways both times. But boys are miscarriaged more than girls are, and need better maternal condition. My maternal condition has been awful and suspect that once my fertilized egg implanted in my uterus a and detected my bad condition, it hasnīt been able to continue or something like this... I know I have played with my health and donīt want to do it anymore... Itīs my fault. I know LE diet is not like this. It was my sway obssesion which lead me to deplete my body of nutrients. Probably my eggs has been maturing very, very, very badly. Atomic has adviced me taking zinc. It has been discovering to be a key element for a good egg develope (and itīs found mainly in meat, seafood and eggs, which I have avoided since last year so I must have been depleted...) so Iīm taking it, and some days even a multivitamin! So go figure if I have change my mind! But I canīt face the possibility to a bad egg because of my fault.
Anyway Iīm going to continue doing swaying this month. Itīs just Iīm focused on low sugar level and little food (but quality food: Iīm eating some chicken, lots of saladas, vegetables...), Iīm not doing LE diet based in white carbs anymore.... and no aspartame for me (at least, not from CD1, maybe only some days before) and DH is only taking 1xLR and 1XSoy Isoflavones at night. I know it will improve my maternal condition and it sways blue , but I will risk. I just know being so strict on diet I have only gotten 2 mc in a row...
Probably the days leading to the attempt will do it all more hardcore, more dose of all... but donīt want to start doing damaging staff from the beggining, to see if this time my egg developes well and get a succesfully and healthy pregnancy finally, what at this moment after 2 mc in a row is the most important to me, since I really feel my second child (whatever gender is) is already set and will come when will be his/her moment.
A big hug, and wish you the best!!! I donīt know if I will be by here too much or not. Today CD2 for me, yesterday started to mc (25 days post ovulation :( so we will be attemping more or less in the same time! FX for us to get our dream and healthy babies above all :HH::hugs:!

Oh, I forgot to mention your TO question... Look at this chart...in fact, depends of the kind of OPK you use is possible to get a +opk since almost 48 hours in advance. Normally it doesnīt take so many hours the egg to release but after stop BCP probably it took to you a bit more. 12359
I guess this month it wonīt take to you so long :agree:

July 14th, 2013, 04:10 PM
Hi Mariposa!
First of all, thank you for explaining, for me it makes perfectly sense! I was advised to consume more whole grain carbs bcz of my insulin resistance. I have been swaying hard, but not as hard as many around here. Main focus on keeping bloodsugar low for as long as possible (no breakfast, no snacking), eating small portion and low cals, where the cals were mostly from carbs. And I cut out meat and eggs totally which is a big change for me. Lost 5 kg!
Lately, after attempt and and BFN I have been more loose on diet, not too much, but a change. Maybe unconsciously trying to improve my condition....dont know.
I will continue like this for 1-2 more attempts and then maybe add attempts...
Will see abt OPK and ovulation, done some research myself and thanks for the figure :) I know that ovulation can happen that late after first pos OPK.
CD 3 for me. I really hope this is the month for both of us! fX! Keep in touch. You and Atomic have been great support for me, I am so grateful!
And you are right, we are meant to have the children destined to us. Hope they will come to us soon, happy and healthy :) and hope that we will have the chance to raise both genders.

jd03pd, I had some spotting while was taking BCP. I think is totally normal, especially the first months on it.
Baby aspirin is fine, you can take it on your attempt after stop BCP, but it can delay ovulation in some women, so think it carefully because after stop BCP, your ovulation probably will be more delayed than normally. Good luck!

Today is CD22 to me and I havenīt Oed yet. Iīm having problems to ovulate normally and I have been put on myo-inusitol by my doctor. Even she doesnīt think I have had 2 chemical in a row (maybe the first one, because I got the "strongest" faint lines on my pregnancy test) but she says the second month it was probably a late ovulation and the test just were evap lines or something, so maybe itīs true and I basically havenīt even tried in the correct moment, but with the LH hormone so high is impossible to guess when DTD. This month I started very good , but my diet last days have been totally boy style...Iīm very fed up about all this. Think Iīm going to have a boy no matter what. I dont know when I ovulated last cycle, I had pos OPK and DTD once with rephresh 24 hrs before, in the fertile window. If it was a big cut-off I think my chances are small. Now just waiting. Do not believe I am PG this cycle either, but AF in abt a week so we will see. Feeling a little more relaxed, thinking this might take some time. LE doet has become my eating habits now, so It is not too hard now. I think I can be vegetarin, low calorie, low nutrients for a little longer.

My DH want to give a try this month (in fact we have already DTD twice this month several days ago thinking I was going to ovulate, but didnīt, so nothing came from that, so go figure what a mess this month has been being...) so, still deciding if give or not one try to this month despite being bad on diet (the most important...) weīll see, last minute decission! It should not, because many get pregnant soon after BCP. And maybe making it hard to get PG actually sways pink.
I used 3x21 tablets non-stop. I have the impression that it is yeras on BCP that makes it hard to get PG.
I think I ovulate. Acutally had ultrasound after first ovulatin where the gynoc could see corpus luteum, the rest after ovulation on my ovarie. It was on right side, where I experienced ovulation pain.
Just have to wait and see. It is keeping the diet and not gaining weight that makes it hard.
