I keep seeing women say they abstained for 4 days before multiple attempts. Is this necessary? I planned on doing it but O'd early so it was only 2.5 days.

Do people abstain to build up sperm to increase chances of getting pregnant or does it help chances for a boy? Of course I'm in the 2ww so second guessing everything. Thanks

2-4 days is fine. You did it just right.

The point is to abstain just long enough to allow some sperm to build up but not so long as to have the sperm begin to get old and icky. Higher sperm count + higher sperm health = more boys.

It doesn't really matter how long we abstain does it? Just aslong as its every 2-4days??

Thats right, boy swayers don't really abstain as such, they keep the production of sperm fresh and healthy.

Yes, about every 2-4 days, it's ok if someitmes it's 1 day and sometimes it's 5 days.

When I conceived my boy, DH had released just the morning before
I was really upset but didnt want to lose another month so we went ahead. I was 95% sure it would be a girl. But NO. It was boy !

I did the same thing with some of my boys too Tulip - we'd go a couple days, then have two attempts in a row, then skip three days, then another couple attempts - it was never the super regular every 2 days pattern.
