Oh...did I mention I'm going HT?

Hi ladies:
After 7 cycles since m/c, and struggling at age 40 for bub #3, we've decided to go HT. I have an HSG scheduled for next week. My CD2 and CD20 labs came back GREAT, RE says results look like those of a 35-year old. Perfect FSH and progesterone. My u/s just came back and RE says follicle count is great. RE is very positive and I like her a lot.

This is a whole other realm for me...honestly all 3 pregnancies have been OHWs, DH just had to brush by me in the hall :) So after 7 cycles, and time running out, we NEED to go in this direction to get one last bub. I really like the clinic...I heard the waiting list was 6 months, but I had my first appt. 2 weeks after my referral! I guess they fast track the seniors, lol.

Although cost isn't too much of an issue, all the pre-test/consult stuff is covered by health care. Even the HSG. And most of the meds are too (by work insurance coverage). We will have to pay for IVF, and luckily we're not fussed which gender we get, as they don't gender test in Canada anyway.

Anyway, just wanted to give you all an update on why I've been MIA. I've just been randomly posting here in there...I am distracted to say the least.

You probably know, but this baby took me over a year to conceive at the age of 39. DD1 was an oops ( probably it was cut-off), DD2 OHW, so I was wondering what the **** was going on?

Anyway, I would do IVF (but only with PGD) in a heartbeat.

We are just finishing up pretesting. DH goes in for SA today...he's already rescheduled twice and is being a bit self-conscious about the whole thing. But he wants another bub too, so will go, reluctantly.

To be honest I was kind of keeping this under wraps, I was convinced that the pre-testing results would reveal that I had dinosaur eggs - not something you're always keen to share :oops:

LOL, DH and I just talked about this last night. We will def put back 2, if there are 2 to put back. This is our last kick at the can, might as well go all or nothing!
