Any ideas to make this easier? I know it is supposed to be important but I am struggling to even get started on the diet in any form as I fail at the first hurdle each morning. Thanks x

Atomic says you can eat breakfast, then lunch, but you can give up your dinner, so you are fasting for a while til breakfast again. Hope this helps!!

I took a gradual approach to easing into the LE diet after a trial period last fall resulted in terrible stomachaches. As part of the transition, I pushed breakfast later and later until I was eating it at 11am. I can't deal with having my first meal any later than that. Then I have 2 more meals, at 4pm and 9pm.
Also, coffee and diet coke are two things that you could have in the morning without it counting as a meal. Sugar-free gum is another good way to get through the time between meals, but I can never stomach it first thing in the morning.

Sihaya and I both eased our way into LE. For me, I started skipping breakfast and substituting it with large quantities of ice cold diet coke. I used to be one of those people who always ate fruit and drank several big cups of green tea every morning. It was hard to change my habits at first but I did get used to it. Now that I'm pg again I have to force myself to eat healthy foods (especially breakfast) again and it feels weird to me now.
Some people *do* successfully do the LE diet and have girls who eat breakfast. You just have to make sure you "budget" breakfast into your allotted calories and nutrients for the day, KWIM?
One thing, stay away from breakfast cereals and oatmeal. Puffed rice cereal is OK but for some reason a lot of boys are conceived by women who eat cereal a lot. I used to eat tons of the stuff for dinner and snacks and completely cut that out of my diet for months before ttc.
Good luck! :luck:

When I had my girls I never ate breakfast, but I would usually have a cup of coffee or 2 or 3 lol, that would tie me over until lunch

I am planning to eat two or three egg whites as breakfast. AS says that if you eat breakfast choose either all carbs or all protein.
I choose all protein. If i eat them at 10 am my bloodsugar will remain low untill my next meal around 2 pm. I know i function better on all protein as i am currently on a low carb diet to loose wheight. Off course i will make sure that my dayly protein intake will not exceed 40-50 grams.
Am very curious if i'll be allright in about 4 months:nails:

If you can't, you can't. It's not a magic bullet, just something that may help a bit. The other parts of diet will still work without that.
