Did you purchase and follow a GD Personalized Plan?
No
DIET
Did you follow a diet plan?
Yes
If yes to diet, which one did you most follow? LE(Low Everything)

Comments regarding DW's diet changes-
Always a vegetarian so no change there. What did change was I normally eat very healthy whole grains, beans, lots of dairy and lots of snacking- I cut all this down. I also drank 2 diet cokes a day to get me through the not eating breakfast. In the beginning I counted everything, but after a couple of months on the diet I had a good idea of what things added up to.
If diet was used, length of time before attempt?
2wks IG diet before I found this site and then 3 1/2 months LE. I cheated during Nov. 2ww, so I took Dec off from ttc (still did diet)
Did you skip breakfast regularly?
Yes
Did DH change his diet with you?
Yes
Comments regarding DH's diet-
DH doesn't eat much red meat-1-2 times a week normally, but he cut this out. Also cut down coffee consumption around o.
DId you consume alcohol? No

DId you try to limit caffeine?
No, I did not factor that into my sway
Any Diet Details?
one cup of rrl tea every other day, one cup of peppermint tea every day
Any Diet Comments/Additional Info?
I was having a HARD time on the diet - never got easy like others seemed to say. So I decided to join the website and it was amazing to me all the great ideas and recipes in the member sections. It really enabled me to keep going.
WEIGHT AND EXERCISE
What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O?
21.1 before o
normally at 24.3
I lost a total of 18 lbs, 4 the month of bfp
Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments?
I did exercise every day. I tried to do 30 min of cardio although some days I only did 15. This is not the recommended amount but was a huge change for me as all exercise I did previously was muscle building and I knew I was at my maximum muscle amt. pre-sway. Through diet and exercise I lost most my muscle, so I felt this worked for me.

SUPPLEMENTS USED
DW Supplements Vitex
Baby asprin
folic acid
Calcium
Magnesium

DH Supplements Cranberry

Any additional supplement info?
Due to my age I felt it necessary to include other vitamins. First few months I did a prenatal, then researched and switched to vitamin a, calcium, magnesium, zinc, coQ10. I normally take a multivitamin and get a lot of nutrients through food, so this was still a declining maternal condition for me. I took baby aspirin 3 times a week and 1600 folic acid every day. Also since I was not ttc in Dec., I took vitex all month and then af-o during bfp month.
DH also took DHA, coQ10, and a multivitamin.
Did you do anything with Ions?
well, I'm not a believer but I did have lavender oil to help sleep and I had received lavender soap for x-mas, so inadvertently yes.
Moon Phase during conception?
Waxing Crescent
Did you use any Old Wives Tales?
no
Things that make me feel great about my sway:
I think the vitex for a month and a half straight got me my bfp. My testosterone levels dropped noticeably, and everything was very different from normal for me. Also had a lot of stress from sicknesses and death in my family.
Things that make me nervous about my sway:
I really think I would enjoy either way, so I wasn't nervous for gender, but more health. I think I would be more upset that I didn't get to eat pizza for 4 months and then not hear girl. Baby tested negative for 3 trisomies including downs, and knew gender by 12 weeks thanks to MaterniT21 test!

Strawberrymom, I was curious about getting the MaterniT21 test. Did your doc offer simply because you are AMA? A local friend of mine has 2 friends that found out gender at 12 weeks through MaterniT21...said it was a part of their 1st Tri Screen bloodwork. Did you have to ask for it? I am 36, so AMA as well.

I called my doc and asked about doing it before I went in. They were quite excited about it actually, even though he hadn't done it before. My blood draw was a separate appt. from normal. You can feel free to pm me if you have anymore ? about it.
