Hi, i know this has probably been covered in other threads but I'm still confused. Is it better to use ace-jel rather than rephresh, if so why? Or do you use both? Does ace-jel raise ph for some? Thanks

yes aci jel may still raise ph in some. it's better than rephresh though and was actually made for swaying and helps keep your ph down and has no buffers. i have been using it and my ph has stayed at 4 even at ovulation.

Thank you mommy duke, are you using it instead of rephresh. Do you know why it's better? Sorry for questions, it's expensive and I want to make sure it's worth it before I buy!

If you do not mind me asking...how are you using it? and I know you mentioned you were gonna use sylk do....how are you using that? I am waiting for my aci-jel in mail but I tried sylk last night and I am afraid it made my ph jump! I have to experiment with it a bit more this week. After I "use" it how long should I wait to test ph to see if it is working or making it jump?

i have been doing some of the diet for almost 2 months. i need to get my butt in gear and give it 100%. im taking calcium, magnesium, vitex, cranberry, and sometimes clomid or soy along with the aci-jel, sylk, and a douche.

well like i said it's just said to be better because it's supposed to keep your ph down all the time and not let it go up. it was made for ttc a girl... i used replens with my last sway and got a boy. i have seen so many girl from aci-jel i thought it was worth the money.

i start using a half app of aci-jel right after af ends and use it every 2-4 days like that. then when my opks are either + or almost + i start using a finger tip full every morning or like an hour before bd and sometimes after if my ph is up. we have been using a lot of sylk with bd just like we would normally use lube. i have been using store bought vinegar "douche" in a syringe in the shower about 10 min-1 hour before bd.

Did the sylk hurt yuor ph at all? I tested ph last night it was 4.4, then I used a fingertip if sylk waited an hour and tested my oh and it was 5.8! I am kinda nervous now to use it but so disappointed becasue I have heard such good things about it swaying girl. I can;t wait for my ac-jel to get here to try that out. What else is good for a lube?

i think the aci-jel would be good for lube as well. it's like vaseline. but any lube besides preseed is good for swaying pink.... i didn't notice that it brought my ph up at all. i have heard that sometimes when you use something new it can raise ph a few times and then stop.

I ~personally~ prefer RepHresh because it keeps your pH low for longer, since it reacts with everything it touches to lower pH. But Acijel has "acetic acid" and I think MD knows someone who conceived a boy with RepHresh.

I don't think it's any better at all and I wouldn't pay the $$ for it :twocents:
When I was mod on IG that was when Acijel was recalled and no one could get it, and yet people were still conceiving girls at a pretty good success rate just from diet, douching, and either Replens or Rephresh.

I'm not trying to quibble, I just want the info to be clear for people who read this thread later!!!
Acijel is not supposed to keep your pH down all the time, only RepHresh does. Acijel has a slightly lower pH to begin with but it is not a reactive agent like RepHresh. Acijel can be diluted by CM and semen.
The reason why Acijel is supposed to be better is because it has slightly lower pH and it has the acetic acid which is supposed to be some sort of magic girl swaying chemical.

Try using it a few times and see if your body adjusts to it - sometimes your body freaks out about the presence of something foreign and tries to get rid of it by washing it away with more alkaline fluids.

Yes to chime in with atomic when I bought aci-jel, it was for the acetic acid, not the pH. You could maybe combine aci-jel with a pH lowering lube and still get whatever magic from the acetic acid (which I read is just a powerful sperm killer) and then also the low pH... but I suspect acetic acid does the same thing a low pH does. Might be good for someone who is having a hard time measuring their pH levels.

Who, me, or lindi???
I did not use jellies. Lindi did not use them either as she ended up doing IVF for her little girl
Our subsequent experiences and results since this thread was written have shown clearly that Acijel was getting neutral results. The same number of people were getting girls with and without it, and this was identical to the success rates of the site. This shows that the jellies like Acijel are doing nothing to help a sway. Some people do still use them, but they do cut odds of cocneption.
