When to BD after Smiley Face

Hi Ladies,

I tested this morning with clearblue easy and got a negative, but line was getting darker so I tested again at 11am and got my smiley face :) QUESTION: When should we BD now for best chance to TTC a boy? We have just BD every other day since AF ended so today should be our day to BD...I don't want to miss OV and usually OV 24 hours or so after smiley face I think...should we BD after work today, then again tonight before bed and one more time tomorrow morning...or should we BD tonight, tomorrow morning, and tomorrow evening? I always have a hard time pinpointing OV because I don't get a lot of EWCM so I am not sure usually how soon after 1st smiley face I OV which is why I am not sure what the best plan would be...I don't want to mess anything up, but really want to be pregnant again. I did just check my cervix and it is high and soft, yesterday it was medium and a little harder...

Please help if you can! We need to see BFP this month! Tell us when we should BD if you know!

I would BD tonight and tomorrow morning or early afternoon

Thank you Dloui! DH and I met at home for lunch, how fun ;) so now the question becomes do we BD again later tonight, then again tomorrow morning or afternoon, or do we skip tonight and BD tomorrow morning then again tomorrow afternoon? The other though is to BD late tonight ( about 10 hours after first attempt), then again tomorrow at noon. Please help ladies!!! What should our BD pattern be now?

Hi, maybe I'm wrong and if so, I hope someone correct me, but I understand that if you bd twice a day you might be lowering the sperm account and that sways pink. In fact, I have two boys and I can't remember exactly, but our pattern was bd every other day or at the most, once a day. Good luck getting your boy!!!

once you are fully fertile, you are just adding more and more sperm to the mix though. For blue, you need to avoid lots of DTD BEFORE you are fully fertile, but you can have more than one attempt AFTER that fertile window opens.

I believe late tonight will be cool. Tomorrow morning if possible, otherwise tonight alone is just perfect as a 2nd BD. GDL

Atomic, any thoughts for us now? We BD once at lunch about an hour after first smiley face. What else would you suggest for us? Thanks all!

Oh I'm so sorry I only just now saw this. What did you end up doing?

There are no right and wrong ways to sway, but I typically recommend 3 attempts at/around OPK. So I would have had you try again that night and thena gain the next morning.

Hi Atomic - no worries! We got in 3 attempts within 24 hours of positive OPK. We BD about an hour after first smiley, then again about 10 hours after that (evening) and then again the next morning. We feel great about the attempts, only prob is that I came down with a virus the eve of ovulation (pretty sure I O'd during the day, fever came a few hours after). So as long as the fever didn't kill off the sperm, we feel great about this!
