Is it ok do dtd later than 24 hours after o?

Just wondering why the 24 hour window? Dh and I couldn't get that many times in 24h as he works night shift so just dtd later as well.

The chances of conception 24 hrs after O are extremely low. The egg only has a lifespan of up to 24 hours from ovulation.

Are you asking after O? Or after pos OPK?

After positive OPK, you typically have 36 hours before you will ovulate, and then another 12-24 hours while the egg is alive. So it's actually more than 24 hours.

Oh and if you're talking about for Shettles or Ingender O+12, the reason they advise the small window is because they're trying to have sex only on day of ovulation but not after 12 hours past. i don't believe it works, though.
