Hi ladies! I was wondering if anyone truly believes that month conceived can help determine gender? Probably should set up a poll but not sure how.I read that more boys are conceived in months with an average temp of 55 degrees & 12 hours of daylight. The heaviest conception month being October.Regardless if you swayed what months were your children conceived in? My two DDs were conceived in early May & the end of June.

there have been quite a few threads on this sort of thing recently, whilst there is some evidence to suggest the month ~can~ sway its only slightly, if you look at national trends its pretty much equal throughout the year.
mine were opposites too, i have three boys one conceived in april (peak girl month and also coincidentally everyone i knew due around that from all the local baby groups and friends all had boys, i think i knew two girl moms with kids around the same age), second conceived in august, third in december, my little lady to be was conceived in october.
if it can work to your advantage its always worth including your sway but don't plan things around that, there are loads of opposites conceived in key months and with the best intention of all some women can take months to conceive anyway

Interesting thx! I guess I should just do the opposite of what I did for my DDs.with them I skipped trying in the fall because I didn't want to be huge in the summer! Now I don't even care when the baby is due.I just want a healthy blue bean!

If you really want to get it you need to take into consideration where each person lives in the world, as far as i know it is much different here in australia in
December than it is in england or the usa.

I am sure we would know a lot more about it if it was the case! In saying that my little guy was born in feb (summer for us) and the maternity ward was full but only included one set of twin girls the rest boys :) I think they had around 19 rooms,1- 2 to a room. They were running around letting everybody know they were part of a record!! In saying that the twins mum was very un- happy as she wanted a little boy! She was next door to me!! It only lasted a few hours and then the little girls came in floods and by the time I had left it was pretty much = again :)

Not something a believe in.
Take a look at maternity wards the day you give birth. Half the time there's usually a mixed result.
My first was conceived in April which is autumn (fall)
And my second conceived in December which was our hottest month, we were getting temps of 42 by then.
We are planning on ttc in August. Not because different month night create a different gender but we don't want babies birthdays so close together.
Oh and when I had my second in the September. That's when that hospital has the most amount of births, due to couples going out letting their hair down on break between Christmas and New Years and or getting protection lol. I almost didn't get to labour in a labour room.

LOL funny you say that! My son was born on the 17th! Haha it was the 16th-17th between 8pm and 3 am whete labour ward had no room! I got there at 7am after labouring at home ( had contractions from 8pm) most of the time. Was going to head in around 3 but being vbac I thought I'd better not.

while I do believe that it is a real thing that can really help a sway, it is only a small amount and there are still tons of opposites. I conceived 2 boys in Mar (girl months for me) and got my girl in Nov. (boy month.) My other two boys, I got one in June and one in Aug.
