This is at 15 weeks...getting mixed reviews of boy and girl. No potty shot but looked to be nothing down there when the tech looked, just the nub on profile. Thanks :)

Hmmm- by 15 weeks I don't think there is a nub anymore. So I'm going to guess this is a boy

Sway&Wish what makes you think girl? I have heard girls can have a nub or protrusion at 15 weeks. The shape looks girly to me as well but i'm no expert haha

I would vote boy on the top picture.

15 weeks is to late for a nub guess, you need a potty shot!! It does look rather like a boy though!

15 weeks you need a potty shot. Congrats on the baby

I don't have any potty shots because the tech didn't print them out. She insisted this stage was too early although I did not see anything protruding on the potty shot so when I saw the "nub" on profile I was confused. Other techs have been telling me a prominent clitoris is common at 15 weeks and that the angle of my babies nub looks girly as well as the shape but I'm still not sure

I have seen this type of question posted a number of times on IG. The tech there always says that you can clearly see a penis and scrotum pointing straight up at 15 weeks, and that profiles are a great way to identify sex, particularly before the baby gets too squished (so, you definitely don't need a potty shot to identify sex). Even if you look at the last pictures on the site below (which are 14 weeks), yours is almost identical to the girl picture: Embryo Development external genital sex organs - angle of the dangle boy or girl ultrasound gender scan - Baby2see (http://baby2see.com/gender/external_genitals.html)

Personally, I would see check out 15 week ultrasounds on youtube, and I think that you will find that the boy profiles look very different ;)

Thank you Sway&Wish! I appreciate your time  I had a lot of people say boy and a lot say girl but the people saying boy aren't very knowledgable on ultrasounds whereas the girl voters are.

Thank you lovemy4! I replied on in-gender but I was wondering what you meant by a boy "nub" at 15 weeks looks like a turtle or snail? Is that in a profile shot? I have a hard time picturing that  any pictures to compare this look? Thank you again for everything

Yes, it would be in a profile shot. I'll see if I can find an example to show you.

This is a later shot at 20 weeks but see how it looks snail-ish? I'll keep looking for a 15 week example but it would be similar or appear "stacked" as 2 bumps.

Ok I think I see what you are saying. I added a second image to show you what I believe you are explaining. As you can tell this is my first pregnancy  and i'm probably asking stupid questions! Again thank you for helping me. If you do come across a 15 week profile please let me know.

Yes, that is the scrotum and the other arrow that was already on the image is pointing to the penis.

Ok thank you so much I finally see it!! So at 15 weeks would the penis be vertical or is it still valid to measure it against the spine?

At 15 weeks you wouldn't measure the angle of a boy anymore--it just wouldn't be necessary as it is VERY different from a side shot of a girl. Only inexperienced guessers would get them confused. Hope that helps :)

I remember a lady on in-gender some while ago. They told her boy by her 15 week u/s but charliecats (the tech on there) told her girl. She had a potty shot that was confusing and her side shots looked just like yours!! She had a girl!

Thank you Lovemy4 and wilma_5! I will keep everyone updated when I go for my next scan not until the 3rd week of May  I'll be around 19 weeks at that point so hopefully no confusion down there

Ok so I've had some family looking at my ultrasound and they think the nub looks too long and slightly too angled to be a girl. Now I know they are no where near experienced so I take what they say with a grain of salt but is it possible that could mean a boy?
