Hello all,
i am 7 days late for my periods. it was due on 16th April and i am still waiting. i have not been trying to get pregnant yet but planned to in next 2 months but we never used any protection. i always have regular periods, not even a single day delay. With my first baby (who is 2.5 yrs old now) also, i had missed my periods and did home pregnancy test after 10 days of missed period which showed positive. I don't have any symptoms as such.
Also, this time i have travelled to India around 1st April. Could travelling be the reason for missing my periods so long?
For how many days should i wait to take HPT? or is it better to do a check-up at doctor's?

It. Would show up if your 7 days late, travelling may have altered your cycle too!!! GL

Have you taken a HPT?

HPTs are so sensitive now that you can test before your period is due, a lot of us here are test addicts, and many get their BFP prior to AFs arrival.

If AF is 7 days late then I would do a HPT, if negative and you are worried then a check up at the Doctors won't hurt and will put your mind at rest

hello friends, i had my ultrasound yesterday for my pregnancy. according to doctore, it was 6 weeks 2 days of pregnancy but ultrasound showed 5w2d. also they could not detect the heartbeat. they have called me again for the ultrasound next week and then they would decide anything on my pregnancy. i was also prescribed some progesterone tablets for the time being. does this mean i am going to miscarry? does frequent ultrasound harm the fetus? i don't have any uncomfort or bleeding/spotting. also, my LMP was 19th March.

Please suggest.
Thanks.

By Transvaginal Ultrasound a fetus and heartbeat should be seen during the 6th week of pregnancy. From your abdomen with the doctors dop-tone device it's about 10 weeks or more to hear a heartbeat .HTH

Don't panic! I agree with a&jmummy, 5 weeks is really early to see/hear a heartbeat, I think earliest is 6 weeks!
